Re: Your favorite artistic medium
thanks both times organized Khaos, do not mean to take over this topic.... I will say there is more Male gamers than Female gamers so there is another realm of things..

Senior_Diablo there is more to than just the look... file paths you need a little background in computers to make everything work. I have crashed my PC many of time and fixed the problem that cause it. right now getting to work in the game is another issue...

Re: Your favorite artistic medium
As far as I know.... most females can appreciate the female form......... Oh, BTW I'm Bi.... AND when my HUBBY (who's also BI ) wakes up, HE will love this art!!!!
He jokes and says his fem side is les,,,.lol...
But his masculine side is BOI's
(we have same taste ... no matter who we're exposed to.)
Even though he's sleeping, when he wakes up, he will most assuredly know whats up and be able to appreciate...... *Big Ol Smile*

Re: Your favorite artistic medium
very nice again, B88. :thumb: ..hmm, yeah sounds like there would be a lot of issues if a program like that couldnt find the file it was looking for..lol... does the game come with an editor or do you have to use a third party program when altering the wireframes and what not?
-
Re: Your favorite artistic medium
Folks vaguely know I 'do digital'. You get the odd peek when someone muses enough, but I'm way happier being the guy who made the person behind the door that someone blew up in a movie. If you notice it's graphics, I didn't get it right.
I haven't drawn anything on paper in a good 10 years, and gave up art at school as soon as possible (back then you couldn't draw on a computer. It said >HELLO WORLD if you kicked it hard enough). Never painted, though I could make a mean vase or three (before Ghost made using a potter's wheel seem strangely wrong). I built a couple of houses over the years, but the garden in my current one still looks like a leftover set from Platoon so I don't exactly spread efforts equally. I see what I do as math, not art.

yeah, there is Senior Diablo the game has construction set that you download from the main set. Now there are other modding tool floating around the web that also have become a big help. Alot of these texture, to get them at smooth are done in photo shop. Construction more or less does the base of something then you these other programs to add more detail. Now on buildings, trees, more landscape it works wonderfull.
not going to pose a pic of this place just got to here http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/i...1211325193.jpg
The game also lets you know when something isnt right, either it crashes or it gives you a bright yellow sign with !! . game will still run but it would not have say item..
people who write the script that make them dance is funny as hell. I have Umpa dance mod...ill sit there get bored and make the guards dance....

Re: Your favorite artistic medium
Language~ i think my first love is words.
Here's my latest.
-Prayer of a Drone-
Tilt that cup towards us, beauty...
the saucer of which rests politely on your knee~
We buzz close to your perfumed wrists,
a white throat that rises gracefully
like a swan from the waters of your blue-green blouse
Lips upturned against rim.
The honey sinks beneath brew
unaware of your graces, of each pulsing beat
that throbs beneath layers of skin
it knows not of worldly devises,
cannot know the glory of being within
vessels of the divine.
Processing, putting out, dreaming of the sky
which unfurls like the heady promise of
lofty hope before us~
We make our beds of clover and grass
sweet, dewy licks of coolness
that douses the skin.
It is our song that draws you finally,
whirling like a constellation of gold
glistening pollen & rain,
catching light... all for that sweet drink of nectar,
a lazy caress from the mistress' lips
and perhaps a taste tomorrow.

Re: Your favorite artistic medium
so, i totally forgot about this thread. and i wrote another poem thing about 3 weeks ago. so! i thought i would post it now. maybe i can get some comments/criticism on it, please?
#64- Have It/Miss It part 3
You've missed it
You've caught it
You've carried it
And you've dropped it
(More than once)
A dream crushed in an instant
But now...
You didn't miss it (miss it)
You caught it (caught it)
you carried it (carried it)
Now you have it (have it)
It was once a dream
Now it's a reality
And you seem real happy
Now...
No more hoping
No more trying
No more failing
No more crying
No more coping
Now it's over
Now it's done
Now it has started
Now it has begun
Well, this should be fun
I didn't want this for so long
I feared something before
Something I couldn't ignore
You wouldn't have understood it anyway
But that's o.k.
Now I know I was wrong
You didn't miss it (miss it)
You caught it (caught it)
you carried it (carried it)
Now you have it (have it)
Now I fear for it
I fear what you're going to do
Will it end up like you?
I hope not
I'll be here

A house that later fell apart
Perhaps doomed from the start
Was it built on bad foundation?
Just another failed creation
I built this house with what I had
Not just for myself
No help
Never a home
Just follow me around
A chime, it's a sound
Acquainted
Information acquired
Suggestions, decisions
A question
And so it began
I built this house all by myself
At the time, that was o.k.
Dealt with it day by day
And tried to make it a HOME
As I walk through this house
I remember all the good times
The fun times, the not so fun times
(The crazy times?)
Crazy like a fox with rabies
Or maybe crazy like rat babies
I'm not pointing the finger
I'm not pinning the blame
Merely just stating facts and theories
Maybe it wasn't a good frame
The decorations were about the same
Although, reclusiveness can be quite lame
Walking to the living room
And I pass the remote
Why did you hate the neighbors?
(Before you even knew them)
Why did you hate the neighbors?
(Before you even knew them)
Why did you hate the neighbors?
(Before you even knew them)
Go ahead and crawl beneath the filthy leaves
I sit here in the kitchen
(maybe have some orange juice?)
No, cake and diet soda
And I look inside the closet
There would sit my skeleton filled luggage
Maybe that was a problem
(Gasp, skeletons in your closet?)
I'm not a homicidal maniac, I swear
They were already there
Hey, I've got an idea
(Excuses, excuses)
Hey, I've got an idea
(Excuses, excuses)
Hey, I've got an idea
(Excuses, excuses)
But none for them
It's not that I was jealous
I just don't quite understand
How can you go with one and not the other?
It's not like there's armies of ghosts outside
Confide
(La la la la la)
Confide
(La la la la la)
Confide
(La la la la la)
And still distance
Oh, you're home
I was just tearing up the floor
There's a letter there for you
It's by the door
Now, if you'll excuse me
I've got my hammer now
I'm gonna fix these walls
I'm gonna fix them good
They seem to be the strongest...
The strongest...[2x]
The strongest things of ALL
Get out, get out, get out
(Your bags are packed)
Get out, get out, get out
(Your bags are packed)
Get out, get out, get out
(Your bags are packed)
Get out of my house
Walking out of this house
I pull out my lighter
With a two and a half inch flame
I set this house on fire
I burn this house down
Right down to the ground
As I drive away
Over hills of green
I look forward to a new day
And crash through the gate
Maybe it was me
Maybe I tried to be something I couldn't be
You can call me a quitter
you can call me bitter
I really don't give a fuck
It's real and it's been fun
But was it all real fun?
One-hundred seven lines
Wow...THIS is beautiful. It made me cry actually (in a good, healing kind of way) Thanks a million. I needed that.

Re: Your favorite artistic medium
Wow this stuff is amazing
As for me well I am a bit of a dabbler I guess, I have a fair few escapes for my artistic moods, I paint models for my D&D group as well as sculpt them (personalised ones for my friends), I do choreography and costume design for my dance group, I draw (can't get a handle on digital imaging though it just never comes right for me so I stick to good old paper and pencil, or charcoal if I'm in a messy mood) I also embroider.
I do lots of things but nothing pverly well, least I don't think so - I may upload some pics of things I have done when I'm able to.

Getting there. The camera makes it look rougher and less blended than it is.
