As long as the dollar keeps strengthening via other currencies and gas prices keep going down, they can all just go fuck themselves. It's clear to me both parties are completely inept. I want my FDIC guarantees and a strong dollar. The other issues I care about are disabilitiy issues, GLBT, animals etc. They aren't really fiscal in a conventional sense. I do wish everyone well though, it will be rough. I will be ready come what may.

Just curious why Jax is for McCain/Palin. Not ribbing you or anything as I believe everyone has the right to vote for who they believe in. But still, why?
Because I hate hate hate Obama. That man is scarey and is too ignorant to run this country. Especially in the state its in.

McCain scares me in just the fact that he's Republican and seriously in the last 8 years of a Republican running the show, I can't see one area where we have anything better or even the same as before a Republican got into office. Having another Republican in office scares the shit out of me. I know he's a conservative and not right wing like Bush, but I don't care. I say give some else 4 years and see what they can do with it. If they also do a shitty job well, at least we tried something new. Vote again and elect some one else. I truthfully don't think Obama could make it worse...All the countries hate us, the economy is in the shitter, terrorist membership has only risen in the last eight years, Bin Laden is still not caught, and we can stay in Iraq or get out, but I don't think that it will ever have any civil rest there based on how many different factions of Muslims that live there and how much they all hate each other. I'm just tired of trying something old and just the fact that McCain is Republican wreaks to me of something old.

Heres a summary for Obama and my stance. Theres much more but Im tired and dont care to get into a super political discussion.
I guess lack of experience, belonging to a racist church, and wife who hates america are the biggest things. No military experience as well. Not to mention I really dont think he will last that long if he does get into office, but I could be wrong. Plus hes a socialist and for more government, and I REALLY dislike the more government stance. More taxes for businesses means driving the costs up for the consumers, you and me, so they can give non workers healthcare and give more money to the lazy welfare milkers. That and he wants to start diplomatic relations with rogue terrorist supporting states. He doesnt want to drill American oil, which leaves us still dependant on the middle east and high gas costs. He is going to make bad, inexperienced decisions on foreign affairs and is completely unfit to be the Commander in Cheif of the armed forces. Quite frankly, I feel as though hes more worried about taking care of the lazy and illegal immigrants instead of supporting winning the war and helping us out of this recession. Hes going to give Iran all the power in the Middle East and start diplomatic relations with them so we can keep feeding off their oil, not to mention he has NO idea about foreign affairs.

Nope. Just watching the Republican party in charge for the last 8 years does it for me. I'm actually independent. Under Reagan (under Republican), I thought for 8 years he did (or the Republican party) did a good job...Except for the deficit he created. The problem though is it's not the same Republican party. That's a whole generation ago. Like I said in my last comment, watching the country seem to totally go down the shitter is enough for me. Yes, McCain would have different people in charge than Bush, but essntially they're all from the same group....Republican. With this in mind, I say give a different party a chance to see what they can do. As an Independent what I've seen is Reagan was a pretty good president and so was Clinton. They BOTH made mistakes, but in the end, as Americans, we did O.K. Since I've been on Earth, those are the only good presidents that have done good. Clinton left in 2000. Reagan left in 1988. So...Clinton is the closer of the two to last rule and he was of the Democratic. So, like I said...I'll give the Dems another shot and see if they can do the trick. If Obama sucks, maybe next time I'll choose a Republican. Who knows.Quote:
