Siouxa-Seki, Zombie Princess (Pics)
Siouxa-Seki is a conceptual character of ours, a zombie princess in a bizarre guroesque fantasy setting. Her name needs work, but her story is slowly falling together, and this year we decided to do a 'shoot themed around her.
The project got way out of hand, making clothing we had no expertise in from scratch, tearing dirtying and decorating it, a hairstyle that was difficult to do on a base of black dreads and special effects that first took hours of makeup and then many more hours of photoshop... but the results are finally presentable, just in time for Halloween. =)
Definitely a learning experience, making practically everything up as we went along to salvage a drug-induced mental image, with very few things working out quite as we'd imagined them. Fun, though.

That is really cool looking stuff. Love the detail.

Sounds like a really intensive process, I'm impressed you made this out of the materials you had on hand!
Aside from the fact that I FUCKING LOVE PURPLE, the makeup, clothing, and hair are all really well done, I would love to see more.

Thanks. That one's my favorite, too.

Turns out there's a reason morbid romanticism tends to stick to vampires and similarly tame creatures. Monstrousness is difficult to make cute without sacrificing a fair bit of both, outside the realm of manga depictions. The combination is too delicious not to keep pushing it, though.
