Is there anyone you hate enough to mock them at a memorial?
Is there anyone you hate enough to come mock them, to those who cared, at a memorial when they died? What sort of horrible things would someone have to do to you or your loved ones before you would do such a thing, if you would under any circumstance?

That's no way to treat someone you hate a lot...............someone might think you cared

Hell, I mock people I love more than anything. If you ask me for a eulogy, you know you're gonna get a roast. Full disclosure, I've never been asked to deliver a eulogy.

One of my housemates from college suggests that it might be okay to do this to Fred Phelps. Certain poetry there, I admit.

There is loving mocking and hostile mocking, though, don't you think? Like you could tease somebody about a personal foible at a roast, but it would still be funny?

Re: Is there anyone you hate enough to mock them at a memorial?
Even if I had the time or energy for the raw degree of hatred it would take to make me mock someone at a memorial in front of their friends and loved ones... such a ridiculous action would only serve as a public admittance of how much power that person really had over me, even in death... so no.

Well the only way you could get me that pissed is by doing something that would make me the direct cause of said funeral.

I've been trying to decide if I think someone who deserved to die would also deserve to be desecrated that way, but, so far, I can't come up with a scenario where either their memory or those who cared about them would deserve that, even though I do agree conceptually that some folks just need killin'.

Re: Is there anyone you hate enough to mock them at a memorial?
I refused to go to my great uncle's funeral simply because I hated him. I made sure everyone knew it too. He was a creeper who felt up my ass/thigh when I was about 15 and was constantly staring at my mom and I (in a bad way)...He was just pervy and made me extremely uncomfortable around him. He was hit by a car on his motorcycle :)
But I wouldn't have gone to the funeral to mock him (mainly bc my family can be bitches and two faced about stuff) And I would have never heard the end of it hahaha.
Oh well ;P

I'll mock anyone, anywhere; no hate required.
Don't much care for memorials, though. Too mushy.

Also, Rockwulf looks better with the goatee.

Re: Is there anyone you hate enough to mock them at a memorial?
No. And like Mr. Karl said, that would imply that you gave some sort of shit. Why bother? If you hate someone so much you just be thankful they're dead. Right?

Re: Is there anyone you hate enough to mock them at a memorial?
i don't hate a lot of people, I just don't have the energy to sustain it for any serious length of time. But the people i do hate, i hate pretty thoroughly.
Funerals aren't really about the dead guy, but the living who miss them. If I would mock them in life, I would mock them in dead. I won't change my opinions just because someone is dead, but I would have to hate their mourners to mock the dead at their funeral. I would not go out of my way to hurt people just because they knew someone I hated.
The exception to that is if they try to immortalize the person for virtues they did not demonstrate in life, and even then it would have to be extreme. If say at Fred Phelp's funeral they asked me to say a few words, and people were playing him up to be a good man who worried about the well being of others and worked hard to bring our country together, well it is unlikely that I would hold my tongue in that case.

Re: Is there anyone you hate enough to mock them at a memorial?
If I did hate someone and felt the inclination to trash talk them, then I don't think it would be too out of character to post about it on the internet. But I wouldn't go to their funereal or say it to anyone's face.
I'm not really the type of guy who judges people guilty by association, so I probably wouldn't stoop to trying to make people feel bad just because they were friends with someone I didn't like.

Re: Is there anyone you hate enough to mock them at a memorial?
I guess it will all depend where on the duchebag scale they are. If the person lands on the monumental category then time to bring out the 9 ring circus.

Re: Is there anyone you hate enough to mock them at a memorial?
No one I hate personally enough to do that.
Although I do know someone who was molested by a relative while growing up. And she would be VERY tempted to scream out the truth
to the entire family at his funeral, and I could understand why. Even
though those other people are grieving the person they knew,
she would want them to know his OTHER side.
Again, my disclaimer:
This story has NOTHING to do with DAC.
But I do see why some people would say something,
if they truly hate that person, and want other people
to know what a scumbag they really were...
But it does seem like a harsh thing to do to someone's
friends and family.

Re: Is there anyone you hate enough to mock them at a memorial?
Hate is a form of love. Indifference is the killer. I don't hate anybody as I find it to be a worthless energy. Indifference, however, is much more effective.

Re: Is there anyone you hate enough to mock them at a memorial?
Funerals aren't for the dead. They're for the living. The real question here is, who would you want to hurt badly by going and trolling the funeral of someone they cared about?
By all accounts, Saddam Hussein was a good dad and grandfather and family man when he wasn't off killing and torturing. Some people remember even him with kindness. There's good and bad in us all.

Re: Is there anyone you hate enough to mock them at a memorial?
Some redneck furry rockwulf dug up from google image.
Furries are basically cartoon/cosplay zoophiles. They draw and get off on anthropomorphic animal hentai, and create elaborate outfits/suits to look like (partial) animals themselves, which they take to conventions where they have wild sex in toilet booths. They're notoriously perverse, with common pornographic subjects ranging from basic interspecies to vore, micro/macrophilia (and all that facilitates) and cub art.
I heartily approve of everything but the average art quality and dabble in the subculture myself, which is why Rockwulf thought it witty to suggest that that's a picture of me.
You're welcome.
