From "random lurker guy" to poster
Hey howdy, everyone!
I just wanted to pipe up and start my introduction thread since I've been a quiet lurkabout for far too long. :)
My name's Kevin (hard to guess from the handle, eh?), and I'm currently dwelling in the spectacular San Francisco Bay Area, where I'm a web wonk and burgeoning writer for one of the local newspaper groups.
Style-wise, I'm more geek than fetish or goth, at least on the outside - I'm [slowly] morphing my wardrobe to match my aesthetic interests/preferences. :Whipping_
But the fact remains that I am, by and large, a geek. In the good, literate ways; not in the bad, let me tell you all about my 13th-level paladin's genealogy way. ;)
I'm also a gamer (sometimes a player, currently a DM), a writer, a programmer, a pop culture junkie, TV/movie aficionado, and media darling.
Okay, that last one was thrown in just to see if you're still paying attention.
I've just finished attending the 36th Comic-Con International convention in San Diego, where I had the distinct pleasure and honor of meeting Amelia, Forrest, and Scar. After an awkward start (they asked who I was on the boards and I couldn't remember...), I had a terrific time chatting with them.

Re: From "random lurker guy" to poster
But I like talking about my demi-god of a druid. :( She's pretty, and can do interesting things. O_o I prefer to play, I have DMed a few. I code and design, I manipulate photography (I have a passion for restoring old photos, actually,) and enjoy console + computer games. I love books, am currently reading the Dune history books on the machine jihad. I'm on book three of the trilogy.
Game of the moment: EQ2.
Games of my life: Monkey Island series (except number 4 *shudder*), Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max Hit the Road, Full Throttle, Planescape Torment, Grim Fandango, King's Quest series, Quest for Glory series, D&D, Summoner 2, Silent Hill 1, Resident Evil 1,....there's more...I just can't think of them. :)
And will anyone reading this PLEASE go check out Martha Wells? I suggest her to everyone, but no one listens. :( She wrote my favorite book of all time: Death of a Necromancer. All her books are wonderful. :(
Anyway, welcome! :)

I enjoy "talking shop" with fellow RPers, too, don't get me wrong. A lot, as it happens.
I was more nodding in the direction of "that guy" - y'know... the one that can't talk about anything other than his half-drow cleric of Lathander and how, this one time, she was facing a horde of like FIFTY zombies that this necromancer had summoned, and...
;)

Hoping this response is the logical one I intended

Re: From "random lurker guy" to poster
I gathered (courtesy Google) that we'd switched to Tibetan.
Didn't have much luck other than Teduche in finding an analogue for "thank you."
Which was what I intended to say.

Ahahaahahhahhhhhahahah *breathe* ahhhahahhahahahka;ldfaskdf;asldf
Okay, I'm good now. But the NPC that had come to request his services for his master's quest ended up being his boytoy. He later died, though, so Quincy went in to mourning for him. :(

It's magical, isn't it, when characters take on a life of their own?
...even when it's under as unhappy circumstances as Quincy's.

Yeah, it's nice to have real character development instead of hack&slash. I prefer story and alternate ways around finding as opposed to pummeling my way through everything.

So it wasn't just me...
I was feelin' that, too, but had just kinda chalked it up to having read your LJ (et al) for so long.
How cool...! :1bluewink
