It's flea market season, bitches!!!!

I went to the big flea market at state fair today.... it was all kinds of awesome! do any of you like to go to flea markets and if so what do you like to look for or buy?

I **SO** go to biker flea markets. I intend on building a bike out of flea market finds some day.

I LOVE flea markets! I'm always looking out for books, records (as in vinyl), and clothes. And anything other weird little things.
Also do alot of people watching at flea markets. Oh and duh...food!

flea markets are pretty shit in my part of the world, there used to be good ones twenty years back but now if you can find one it's just a bunch of new canadian wholesalers

I used the date someone whose parents had an antique store and they were super into markets and great at finding really special and unique stuff for great prices. They tended to never make any money on the store though because they always wanted to keep their favorite pieces. Fortunately, they owned multiple businesses or they would have been living in a fine armoire they found at a flea market for such a deal.

I love flea markets, garage sales, and yard sales... anything at a bargain feels like I'm sticking it to 'THE MAN'....j/k

old things, millitaria.

on the hunt for bits for a few steam punk projects I'm planning, and the millitaria... i find the occasional gem in there i can put to use.

recently since my nephew is about, i've been picking up a few immaculate bargins in the toy department

I like to look through boxes of toys for toys that are quite old which the person selling doesn't know is there. Once I found 3 Were-Bears in one day fo a total of £4.
At present I'm on the lookout for the 1970s/80s Corgi toy which was the basis for the KillDozer in the Cursed Earth storyline from Judge Dredd, as well as the Space Ranger range of Action Man (GI Joe to those of you not in the UK) The bad guy (Captain Zargon, Space Pirate) was cool!

I just realized I never answered my own question...

I totally dig flea markets. I usually look for some of the various items I happen to collect, and I just bought a new amber ring (baltic amber) from poland. the fleaa market here is really awesome; it's probably the best one I've ever been to.

i have sort of a thing for random objects that i think are cool. for this reason, i have a plastic katana, a transformer, a plastic skull that sings the monster mash, a mini beanbag lizard, a cape made out of an old shirt (and very obviously at that), a beer helmet, and a hello kitty comb among other things proudly on display in my room.

is it really possible for me to not like flea markets?

I try to find old mirror's esp from the 70's with odd print, and aged look...

OR chipped plates, I can break to make stuff out of.
Other's JUNK is my treasure.
I love old bottles... that I can cover with glass....
I'm outta glue... or I'd be working on something like that now.

I've been feeling the inspiration hit.

I love flea market junk, the cheaper the better.
