Lords of Acid almost got me fired...

Last weekend was the first time at my new job that I got to Dj.....
I also found out what they considered a Dj and what I considered it to be is totally different...They just want me to play CDs...and prerecorded music...This makes my job easier but less fun...

ANYWAY....I was playing a long Techno Set....and then I had someone ask for Lords of Acid....So I played "Darling Come Here".....

If you have heard the song you may know why the cops that were in the club doing a walk through went nuts...I DONT KNOW WHAT THEIR PROB WAS....Everyone was dancing and having a good time....But the cops complained to the owner and made me turn it off.,...I didnt know that police officers had the right to do that....

The owner also said that last weekend had the most people in that club that he had seen in a long time....Saturday night was a mad house...All the freaky freakies came out ..It was GREAT.....

Unless the song was being siuml-cast on a radio station (or you live in prudeville) they can say nothing.

I can't seem to pin point the song in my memory. I WOULD pull the cd out of my case and listen to it, BUT that particular case has been hijacked. Could you please refresh my failing memory?

I can't think of one legal reason to do that...unless it had some under 18 people around...then technically they could. Use to happen all the time to the 2 Live Crew back in the late 80's early 90's. Maybe their is a city law about obscene music? Their are some weird lil laws like that...shame really. That's a good tune.

It's not illegal for minors to purchase or listen to so-called "obscene" music, or video games for that matter. It's also not illegal for minors to go to R-rated movies without their parents.

Well, all I can say is good for you and hooray for throwing a bit of culture out there for people to sink their claws and fangs into.

Stand up for the Lords...I love that whole CD. You should've went on and just played it all.
