Sure. Not the hottest, but definetly beautiful and appealing.
For the time period yeah but she's old hat now, she'll always have her following. In her day she was doing something profound and taboo, now it's everywhere. I mean she is a born-again Christian and embarassed of her past, so apparently she wasn't that down with it. Probably just doing it to make ends meet , little did she know what she would start.
Not of her entire past...mainly the fetish stuff. Back in the early 90's before she really hit big as a "marketable good" she was quite amazed by the attention she garnered by so many artists and was shocked to have fans. She's always been partial to the work she did toward the end of her career anyhow. Plus it always added a bit more life to her work that she wasen't 100% into it as it where...you can see she always gave her best none the less. Their is a certain look in her eyes that you just don't see in a lot of models, pin ups, etc...but I'm not exactly the most impartial...been a fan since I first saw her (well a rendition of her really) in Dave Steven's Rocketeer comics I had way back when. Finding out she was REAL sorta blew me away...been a fan ever since. Made a hell of a mint selling my memorabilia when she became REALLY popular a few years back.Quote:

She's all right I suppose. Never found her to be the embodiment of all that I find drop dead gorgeous, but she's pretty enough.

I totally agree with Jax and Keiko on this one. Some of my favorite models have done looks inspired by Bettie Page, but the original just never seemed that inspirational to me. She is by no means ugly, but I think the art and even the girls she inspired really outshine her.

For some reason, I always thought she was only okay.

she's got a classic beauty and I apreciate her presence, but no, I don't think that ahe is the hottest woman. I find that people are influenced and attracted to her image, not face in particular. The are others just as, if not more beautiful before and after her...besides, hottness is in the eye of the beholder.
