I never got this whole "I'll do natural drugs but i won't do synthetic stuff"... I mean its like when people talk about organic food....what food isn't organic?? For all intensive purposes both are naturally occurring.

Drugs manufactured in labs and drugs grown in the summer sun will twist your head in the same proportions and if you weren’t feeling great before you popped it you’re gonna have one hell of a ride. literally.

The only reason naturally occurring drugs may be 'better' than synthesized ones is because they may be safer (you might not know what it was cut with). Apart from this the only sensible opinion to have about drugs is what classification of drug you prefer, for example, disassociatives, psychedelics or opiates.... and not whether the native Americans looked kinda cool and chilled out in that one episode of bonanza.

I see your point, but it seems kinda like an exercise in arguing semantics. The notion "everything is natural" seems to generally be used as a justification for things that are bad or may be considered bad by someone else's opposing moral views. **** and murder are natural, but most of us agree that they are wrong and so avoid them anyway.

and then, like you said, it skews the other way too. just because it is "natural" which in that expression means not manufactured by people, doesn't mean that it's good either.

However the difference between organic and some processed foods is that they don't contain pesticides which are poisons meant to kill things, so it's not too good for people to be eating them, and hormones and other additives that aren't very good for people also.

as far as drugs go, most of the so-called natural drugs are less addictive and usually found in lower concentrated doses than manufactured one's. I don't think I can really make the statement that they are safer, it's just a matter of preference.

you did point out the advantage that you can know exactly what is in them since it's a lot easier for people to grow their own then it is for most people to synthesize things in a lab and have access to various chemical components. But most people also just get them from someone else that has probably exchanged hands many times already before, so even if you are buying a "natural" drug off the street you don't really know for sure what could be in it.

I'd take my chances any day with most illegal ones than LEGAL pharmaceutical experimental ones.
Like the new 'wonder drug' for fibromyalgia, I took it for a while, it doesnt work as good as neurontin, (gabapentin) and they dont know all the side effects and later effects it possibly has.

Um... I think what I said still stands. I wasn't pointing out that drugs are equivalent regardless of whether they are naturally occurring or not just to argue the notion that everything is natural; i was arguing that dividing drugs into bipolar definitions is bad practice. I think we probably agree.

Regarding organic food, I have no real opinion about this per se but the terminology just sounds off to me.

I've done everything on that list except for salvia ('improvised' drugs aren't as popular in Amsterdam or the Netherlands in general, since the 'real' ones are relatively available) and heroin.

My favorites are MDMA (preferably with Ketamine) for spending an intense time with a lover, GHB for wild and crazy sex, and LSD or 2C-B to trip out at hippie parties out in nature.

QFT. Calling a drug 'natural' is meaningless to how safe it is to take or how well it could work for you or how much it could fuck you up. All it means that the chemical structure that coincidentally interacts with your brain in some unexpected way happens to be synthesised somewhere else in nature, rather than not having been discovered until we did. It doesn't mean it was 'intended' to work as it does or even that human evolution has adapted to its presence in any meaningful way - it's function as a drug is still just coincidence.
