I like their neckpieces. But are they smeared with a thin layer of black makeup? That looks dreadful.

Nixon and those two pink-haired girls look hot as hell in that gallery. Nice work.

    Especially this girl

There's a lot of really cool stuff there, though.

Obviously, I've exhibited at both, but they always seem so much more like stores than the more creative shows on the East Coast. I wish more of the East Coast cons were big enough to justify the travel.

That poor girl with the awesome pink cone hair was having her hair done for three hours! It did look fantastic when it was done, though.

And yes, we ARE covered in black makeup and goo....I'm sure it made sense in the stylist's mind...

Ah, I should want to reconsider that comment, now that I know someone involved is reading this.

I think that under different lighting or leaving out just a few key areas where it creates an unfavorable illusion of oddly altered hairlines and skin texture, such makeup might have cool uses. It's not something I can't imagine looking good, so I wouldn't want to make anyone that tried it feel like they shouldn't have.

I'm thinking of making a list of the designers and which images their clothes are associated with, but having a hard time to do it without having to have people count photos.

I didn't quite pick this up the first time round, but are all these pictures of models wearing someone else's designs?

Yup. They are clothes that were worn in the Emerging Illusions Fashion Show.

I got that bit; just surprised that people aren't wearing their own creations. I suppose that's not how it goes most of the time, but it does take some of the kick out of it.

I think it would be a bit rough on the designers to make all the clothes, direct the show, AND model a dozen outfits in ten minutes They were already kinda nuts from the stress.

Well, I imagine they make the clothes in advance, and if you do your own modeling that sortof eliminates the need for directing anyone else, doesn't it? Seems less stressful to me if anything.

But I do suppose that if there's a dozen outfits present per designer you'd need other models, too. They'd have to be impressively productive to have that much new material for every event though, unless these shows are really rare.
