Where I live, it was about 85 degrees today. I still can't wait for it to be cooler, but I so do not miss the snow people get up North. Nice to look at, but a bitch to drive in.

Yeah, you're right, shoveling sucked too. But at the same time, I have to cut my lawn every week for like 6 months (and pretty much all of it in 90+ degree weather with 100% humidity). So you always get stuck doing outside work shit in crappy conditions no matter where you live. I don't have to rake anything though, so that's cool.

Where do you live? We don't have snow here yet but it's getting cold. I expect it will start snowing right on halloween. Always does.

Here's me being smug thinking I was having a nice late spring day in this country but in fact it's snowing here just outside of Sydney today... yeah it's scrappy crappy aussie snow unlike Mr K's winter wonderland but it's actually newsworthy here. This pic from SMH was taken just then.

I wish we got snow like that here! But in the south we are lucking to see it snow at all! If we do it isn't even as much as what is in Helcyon's pic!

It is cooler here now..around mid 60's during the day and 40's at night...but no snow thats for sure!

We still get it here in the high desert, but it usually goes away in a day or two before it snows again. It's relatively warm here in the winter when the sun is up, but drops to freezing immediately when the sun goes down. Nothing like the gray tupperware lid that comes down back home in Pittsburgh and stays there till April.

We're getting a cold front here on Monday. It's gonna be 82 degrees. After all these years living in the South, it still makes me laugh when they call THAT a cold front.

I've heard the same. The wild days of snow and alternating windchill of -50 begin. You have to love Minnesota though. It's like a an intemperate rollercoaster.

snow is pretty like maybe once a year. it gets old fast. being a native east bay, ca girl, I hate winter. I hate winter in NC too. I want to go somewhere warm from january to march. I'm thinking key west. the clubs there have strict rules from what I understand.

im not much for cold, though snow and ice are beautiful to look at, up state NY kind of got it out of my system. the nastiest part was fraternity pizza in the 2 inches of ice on the sidewalks in my town. but it can be gorgeous,the ice not the pizza.
