    Default What's new and fabulous?

I should be working right now but instead tell me BB what's new and fabulous?

    Bullet list for me:
    • My new docs are fucking fantastic.
    • My old docs are aging beautifully.
    • I finally finished a couple of writing projects I've been laboring over for months.
    • I won my first blog award last year.
    • I went to LA and actually enjoyed myself. I didn't hate it near as much as I did the first time I went.
    • I just crocheted my first hat and it's very ugly and I love it.
    • I got kicked out of several author groups for being a dirty bitch. That was awesome.
    • My hair is also pretty awesome.

So what's new and fabulous? I'm nosy tell me.

My skeleton pants are turning out awesome. I'm making a serious effort to integrate every form of cool known to mankind into them somewhere, and after a few months and getting perhaps a third of the way there it's starting to really show.

Girlfriend is switching to green hair soon, and that means I get to stop making her cute red ribboned stuff and start making her awesome metal-and-leather industrial/cyberpunk stuff. Puffy sleeves and lace are fine and I make do, I'm never quite in my element if I don't get to use powertools and stuff scavenged from scrapheads and construction areas.

Kinda interesting looking and apparently internationally renown zombie themed party coming to NL. My only experience with a touring party is Tokyo Decadence, which has never been less than awesome. Zombies are cool too, so my hopes are up.

    -my hair is pretty rad.
    -my skin is also rad
-my bro is comming home from afghanistan
    - I made a new body scrub that is great, as well as a new facial toner

that's all for now, I think.

    Let's see...

-Internet has actually been working in the rooms
-It's cold as fuck so I never feel like actually leaving the room (30's are cold in Iraq)
-The assholes in charge finally admitted that we're going back to the states in June instead of the originally planned September
-I learned I can split my tongue and pierce both sides when I get out of the army.

Well, it started out as a nice pair of black pants, and I cut the shapes of human legbones out of white leather, drew on some detail and sewed them on. Kindof a deathrock standard I think, other than that with deathrockers its usually stockings, shirts and gloves.

The awesome part starts with me decorating the shit out of it to unforgivable excess. I don't know where to start describing it though; there's a lot to name and a lot more coming. I'll be posting pics on this forum when I get to that stage.

Also, we had a zombie walk a few years ago, but it doesn't seem to have picked up. 'Zombie Stomp' sounds way cooler, too.

Voltaire what kind of scrub did you make? I've been using an oil sugar based one when I remember to make it that is freaking love.

Raza I know what you're talking about. I was just thinking about trying to make a cloche sugar skull hat. I have a love of decorating the shit out of things myself.

Zombie stomps are pretty neat. I always miss the ones here because I work nights and wind up missing out.

Nathan are you splitting your tongue to celebrate getting out of the military?

At the end of this month it makes it one year accident free on the job, and yesterday they had a safety meeting where they announced that they would take everyone out to steak dinners for meeting that goal.

No, that's not the awesome part.

So today a guy got injured. He's Ok, he just hit his head and got a small cut on his ear. But he's a vegetarian, and he just fucked everyone else over for getting steak. That's the awesome part.

well it's a corporate bureaucracy, anything that has to have a report filed counts, and everything has to have a report filed, ya know? I wouldn't figure that it should count either, but I guess if any medical care is provided, even if it's just to clean off and put on a band-aid, then it doesn't slide.

One time a bunch of boxes fell on my head and smacked it into the side of a metal beam- I just swore a lot, and then went back to working with a nice big red lump, and that was the end of that. But who knows, maybe the guy is just a pussy.

getting injured on the job can be entertaining sometimes. I guess I cut myself and didn't realize it, and I'm handing someone there food and I look down to see blood dripping off my hands onto the counter. I was like, whoops. haha.

    Hmmmm...
I have a new man who is Awesome!
Got the job I was after at work, starting sometime in Feb.
Going down to working 4 days a week which doesn't affect my money situation too bad but every weekend is now a long weekend!
The big, BIG boss told me I was doing a fantastic job (seriously, he's never talked to me in the 6 years that I've worked there)
Just recently got back in touch with a long lost friend
Won a new phone in a contest, as well as a few other things.
Oh and I seem to be losing weight...yay!

Yes, I am considering it. It depends on what I can find with work after I get out. I don't know how picky hospitals tend to be about stuff like that when it comes to RN's.

And that's sad how little crap gets reported as injuries. I cut off the tip of my left index finger working at a restaurant. I just super-glued the fucker back on, wrapped it in a paper towel, duct taped it to keep shut, then threw a rubber glove on. Then went out for a smoke and the bartender was nice enough to bring me a few shots because that super-glue burns like a motherfucker!

Recently, I traded my drum set for a set of gold glass sparkle Pearl Masters jazz drums. GORGEOUS and with a big bass drum that goes BOOM.

I obtained a tenor sax off someone who took pity on the fact that my alto will be down a while, while I do a total rebuild.

Also new and almost fabulous sort of is I've been relearning how to crochet and made my first hat. It's huge but the stitches and everything are nice.

I'm also learning to crochet in the round.

Um I also finally got a pinging issue with technorati solved, am almost done with my new blog template and have some assam tea to drink this week.

as promised, I got my hair done today, and it is fabulous! seriously, it looks like a million bux. my hairdresser is great! a bleach and tone and a haircut. I used to do my own hair, but its so much nicer to just pay someone I trust, and have it come out perfect. hooray for good hair days!

I'm going on vacation on Monday. I bought a shitload of film for my Holga and tonight I'm having drinks with a good friend who has moved away but in town for a few days.

I'm still keeping my New Years resolutions going. I saw My Bloody Valentine 3D, which was awesome. I just had a birthday last month and went to the Monster Truck Show which also ruled!

I really want a 70's custom van or a stabbin' cabin as I like to call 'em.
