    Default Doom. And Gloom.

Companies that have not laid people off, ever, are now laying off.

Microsoft is just about to announce layoffs. This was unheard of before now.

    But here's the wild one.

    Google.

One of THE best-managed companies in the world, quietly shedding the geniuses they've spent thousands attracting.

"It's gonna get worse before it gets better?" I'm starting to believe that we'll see a HALT to the carnage in 2010, and we'll have a Japan-style "long decade".

Everyone was disappointed with Goggles holiday bonuses too.. they are used to getting cash in excess of thousands. They were hit with a free G1 goggle phone. For 199$.

Goggle said it was the economy.

They'll have to reform bankruptcy law at some point. I don't see that as a "good" thing, but people are going to start defaulting right and left. 2010? Maybe. We'll see.

Yeah, it's bad when we're at war and suddenly military recruiters are actually going over their quota. They don't even have to lie anymore, now all they have to do is say "garenteed paycheck." Granted, now I have to deal with more retards.

I have heard that Carlos Mencia is an idiot, but he's spot on here:

"Do you know when you should start worrying America? When the Mexicans stop coming. That's when you worry about America. That's when there's a problem."
