    Default 'allo!

I very nearly titled this "fresh meat", which made me think about bacon. I hate cooking bacon, although I do think it's delicious.

I heard that multitasking destroys your attention span, which explains a lot about me if it's true. I'm Anna Evans, goth rock punches my ticket, and I have an unnatural obsession with shoes and shiny things. One way tickets are my favorite kind, so I buy a lot of them. I am really into traveling.

    Hiya Anna

...so what if you bought a one way ticket to cook yourself a pair of shiny bacon shoes?

I am sure you will find plenty of diversity around here, although sadly there has been a woeful lack of bacon thus far. Shoes notwithstanding.

Welcome to the fold, Anna? What's your favorite way to eat bacon? (I wrap mine around shrimp after replacing their veins with a little horseradish, then stick 'em on toothpicks, coat them in barbecue sauce and grill them. Great little party treats!)

Multitasking must indeed destroy the attention span, because I too am easily distracted by shiny objects. (Mainly the jewel cases to rare goth/industrial CD's.) Bauhaus, Joy Division, the Cure and the Sisters of Mercy are some of my favorite bands, and one-way tickets are the ONLY kind worth buying for oneself. Wanderlust is a shiny object all its own!

I say again, welcome! And do leave your sanity at the door before entering, as the management cannot be held responsible for any that goes missing.

I'm currently really into crumbling it on top of shepherd's pie, but I think my all time favorite is to wrap it around tiny little sausages and pop them in the oven for a few minutes. Excellent party munchies.

I used to have an awesome cd collection including all of those bands, but moving frequently has made me stupidly unmaterialistic, so now I just have the files and other people whom I hope appreciate them have the discs.

Oh, a dedicated CD collector will find a way. I've moved... what was it... 15 times in the last decade, three of them cross-country migrations, and I managed to bring my CD collection with me every step of the way. It's met with a few casualties as the years climb onward, but I'm upwards around 300 again, having recently repurchased an old obscure favorite and finished my Sister Machine Gun collection all in one fell swoop. Downloading music takes away from the thrill of the hunt... the joy of finding that one rare gem lurking in some dark record store's Discount Bin! I don't know what I would do if I didn't have the Zen of flipping through CD stacks in record stores... or the ability to point at my home collection and go, "Yeah, that's right: Skinny Puppy's entire repertoire!"

My disc collection is my only treasured worldly possession besides my computer (which wouldn't be as treasured as it is if it didn't contain almost two decades of original fiction). Otherwise, I'm a travel-prepared hobo.

I can point at my iPod and say "Skinny Puppy's entire repertoire!" but you're right, it doesn't have nearly the same effect. But then, if I really want to impress people I point them to my shoe collection, which I jealously guard like a rabid wolverine. (I'm sexy like that, ahaha.)

A "rabid wolverine"? Must be a hell of a shoe collection!

And yet, there IS something incredibly sexy about a woman crouched on all fours and snarling... or I'm just too feral for my own good.

It is a hell of a shoe collection! I'm aiming for Emelda Marcos' level, but with higher heels and more platforms.

Go with Smart brand veggie bacon instead. It's vegan; Morning Star isn't.

What kind of a pussy eats fake meat that is made from animal products? I say if you are going to do it, then go all the way. shit or get off the pot.
