Default Are you always ready to go out on the town?

I'm about to head out for the evening to a pal's birthday party. I've been so wrapped up in work and all that I was like, wow, I think I need to freshen up my hair dye, maybe trim, maybe get something new to wear. I used to always be ready to go out on the town at a moment's notice.

Are you always ready to go out on the town? Or do you need a prep day or other advance notice?

Just need 20 or so minutes to be honest. I lounge around in (normally) flannel jammie pants and whatever teeshirt I happen to have on. Plus, I'm really bad about wiping my eyeliner and eyeshadow off from the night before, so it's normally all over my face till at least noon (when I'm finally WIDE awake) LOL.

    I'm a mess, I know.

If you never go out, you don't have to be ready for it.
    Sounds weird, but seriously.

ech. I never go out. why do I need to bump elbows with strangers, most likely in a setting where you will have to yell to be heard?

If I want to see someone I'll go over to thier house, or we'll have a get together. Just back back from a nice little social at my buddies place, about 10 or 20 people there, pretty much all of them people that I quite like- a nice turn out so no matter what you will get to see three or four faces that you'll want to talk to, with room to rotate company. what more could you want?

Now when I think I'm more like woman when it comes to going out. Sometimes I'm ready within a 20 min. But sometimes I need a hour. Depends of the place we're going to as well.

The great thing about black is that it always matches. I generally go around in a black t-shirt (with something-or-other on it) with a black button-up shirt layered over it, black jeans, and my black Rockports that basically act as the missing link between the jazz boot, the sneaker, and the dress shoe. Over top of it all usually goes my black leather trench, which contains several of my club-&-concert accessories. If I should need to make myself ready for a fancy dinner, I simply re-stash the sharp silver decorations in the pockets of my coat, button up and tuck in my black dress shirt, and I'm ready to go.

I really don't think it would matter if you went out dressed in a yellow rain coat with matching galoshes, Aza.

I'd never go out in rain-wear; that's my lounge-around-at-home garb!

I can be ready to go in 20 minutes at any time. I ride the non stop party wagon, hard.

I need a week to prep to go somewhere. Too many other responsibilities really.

pfft. A week, let's face it, I need a month or more to make any plans to go out of town.

As long as I have enough time to shower and get ready. But I would normally like to know where I'm going the day before so I don't have to rush myself.

although at the moment, yeah i need to touch up my hair. i plan on doing that today since i have a shoot tomorrow.
most of the time i spend is looking for something cute to wear that's clean.

for mental preparation i like at least a day's notice. but i'm usually ok without that. it just ups the chance that i'll flake.

I've got my routine down. 1 hour is plenty of time. If I need to rush I can do it in about 20 min but I prefer taking my time.

I'm adaptable; I'll use as much time as I get. If there's something worthwhile and I get a day to dye my hair, match wearables, paint on layers of makeup or even make something new that's just missing - great! But I'm equally liable to walk out of the house with a day and a half's worth of stubble, an inch of roots and last night's smudgy eyeliner if a good party was happening there and then.

5 minutes, and that includes hitting the bathroom before leaving. I can throw on a shirt and jeans and make sure I've got cigarettes that'll last me awhile in that little time and have everything I need.
