I don't get it; human death doesn't affect me this way.

I think it's because it's against the law for humans to be put down (except for instances of execution) when they aren't on life support.

It's that certain guilt factor. We know we're putting them down due to all the health problems the animal has and because the shitty existence these problems have caused our beloved animals, but at the same time, we also know that we are the one's directly involved in extinguishing their last life's light that they have. I own animals and when the time comes, I know it'll be one of the hardest decisions I'll have to make. At the same time, I'll also need to understand that the animal's in pain. Their quality of life is horrible and what I'll be doing is taking them away from that pain. I truly believe that human euthanasia should be legal. How, as people who describe their whole existence as "humane", at the same time, can let someone who is terminal face all that pain until they die, bewilders me. Just how the fuck can you call that "humane"?

Animals to us, are on the same level as little children. Innocent. When the innocent get hurt, are in pain, or die, we will feel that sad emotion of helplessness and despair. It's human nature, normal, and justified.

Making Japanese porn DVD's. Got a big job today in the mail. Was sent ten DVD'S and I have to edit them down into two 4 hour DVD's. Been ripping the DVD's and extracting the movie files. Got another 15 DVD's being sent to me next week to make more 3 compilation DVD's.

Seeing some episodes of Fringe while the ripping and extracting is going on.
Time to make some more tea...
