    Default Burning Man '04

Anyone else from the Blue Blood boards go this year? I know Scar did (but I didn't see her there).

I promised a picture of the fur boots she helped me make:

I'm gonna be gathering my thoughts and writing up a reflection asap.

My what manly pink boots you have on there. Very cute.

It takes a real man to wear pink and you wear it well.

Did you used to be in a karate class when you where young in California? I know a guy that was in that class with you, hehe.

Maybe next year it'll be my turn to go. *sigh* My luck, next year there won't be a Burning Man. Murphy's Law bites.

Hard ot explain. it changed my life. BurningMan.com has info.

I'll be writing up an article about it for BlueBlood. But it takes me a week or two to understand the experience each year. Stay tuned.

I realized my answer before was weak...

30,000+ people go to the desert for a festival. Everyone is responsible for putting it on/cleaning up, etc. EVERYONE is required to participate and make the event better for everyone else. The tickets say, "NO SPECTATORS." There is no commerce within the city (except for cofee and ice.) And the art people create to share (and burn) will blow your mind. Still, the people that it attracts is what brings me back year after year. Lots of love.

I've been to Burning Man in '01, '02, and '03. I didn't go this year. Man, do I *regret* it. Definitely next year I will be there, and starting this month I'm starting a special Burning Man savings account.

But I've always been on the lookout for extreme/ultimate experiences and Burning Man is most definitely one of them. It's one thing to watch people do stuff, but another to throw yourself in and to give back-- not necessarily in material terms, but in positive energy, creativity, and happy celebration. Mind blowing, and soul sucking. I look forward to hearing/reading some Burning Man stories v. soon!

A little pink tease now and then an actual article feature once you have thought everything through for the philosophical implications sounds perfect to me

Welcome back! Looks like it was amazing.

Oh my gods. Halcyon, you make the sweetest girlies think the most wicked thoughts.

Is that all you hanging down the right side of your shorts in the 2nd picture? If so, i am -ahem- intrigued...

Would y'all excuse me for a few minutes?

I do not believe my health could take a trip to the Playa, but there is something so deliciously subversive and cyberpunk about the whole thing. Why pray tell Halcyon do you have a vibrating jockstrap?

it is part of my "naughty hug" that includes the Hugulets (foam fur donuts) and the vibrating jock. It becomes a full body human-powered massage machine.

Nothing makes friends faster than a full body vibe.

I've brought the outfit to Burning Man for the last 5 years. Even gave Larry Harvey (founder) a crotch vibe.
