Does tofurkey taste any different from regular tofu?

I never got these vegetarian meat substitute things. Seems like a desperate grasp at normality for people that are trying to be better than that? Things like tofu and soy would sound a lot more attractive if left in their value as unique foods with their own qualities, rather than reduced to substitutes of things they cannot succeed at being.

it tastes really different actually. Vegetarians should be really careful with fake animal protiens. Alot of them have additives & preservatives that really aren't good for your body. Every noow and again, it won't hurt you, but making a dietary habit of it isn't healthy.

I'm not vegetarian, but I eat mostly vegetarian, if that makes sense.....

    I'm a libertarian. I only eat books.

I'm not really much for celebrating genocide and consumerism, but I do like not having to go to work. Me and a couple friends just ate nachos and watched Lord of the Rings.

Alright. I had the impression of it being like eating a marzipan pig; same stuff, different shape.

This just gave me a bizarre craving for both marzipan and bacon, although I don't think bacon-flavored marzipan would be very tasty.
