RE: Obama history... The dude has a serious connection to some pretty radical people. Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, his own father and mother (who said Jomo Kenyatta was a sellout)... Any cries of "socialist" (if not straight up communist, at least anti-colonialist) are NOT unfounded in the least. I have read both "Dreams From My Father" and "Audacity of Hope." You'd have to be a nosepicking retard not to see his political colors from his own writings, including a completely falsified story he supposedly read in Life magazine in 1968 about a black man who took pills to turn his skin white. RE: Tea Party coverage... I lost faith in mainstream media during the 2008 election. I have never been a political person - didn't feel old or wise enough to deal with it seriously. But the way they covered Obama made me sick. Fox News was already in the gutter for me, so anything they said that was truthful raised my opinion of them a notch. MSNBC, however, who I had trusted since college, really let me down. Chris Matthews turned out to be nothing but a shill for the DNC and Keith Olbermann went way off the deep end. Jon Stewart, once the funniest man alive IMO, went the same route.
BTW, Forrest, I appreciate your comment on the concept of protest... How ironic is it that Jon Stewart holds a protest to protest the protesters? Aren't rebels SUPPOSED to protest the government, not hold pro-government rallies?? Goddamn postmodernism... I guess I just don't get the joke
Anyway, I haven't heard much about Tea Partiers lately anyway... Is it even still out there?
