HIM. wanna make a lot o money by acting gay, cause it's the trend of the season. Little girls who woke up wone mornging and said... hey meybe i'tll be cool if I turned into a goth? and so they went through all the trouble of dying their hair, wearing make-up while going to the supermarket, and worshiping satan 30 times a day, only to find true love in Ville Vallo (or whatever his name is). And yes, each and everyone of them is ready to increase the population of Finland to become his sex doll. And HIM are they guys who make all that wounderful music, which acompanies HIS astonishing throat-cancer-like singing voice, for those little annoying imps. The drummer is the coolest guy ever, though (in appearance, I wouldn't know otherwise) :-)

But seriously... I've meet quite a few ok people who were hc fans of theires. Odd. Must be something I've missed.

that' the case in the states and canada (bam, the guy from that mtv show?). in europe, he's like tagging along the new wave of "goth rock" bands from Finland. I think the main reason they got famous here, was because they were a rip-off of Sentenced when they got all 'cheased up'. and then they cheased it some more, and then sentenced started ripping off the rip-off of themselves . what a soup opera

I really don't like HIM but that's just my taste. I downloaded some HIM songs last year when everyone started raving about them, just to see what they sounded like - and I really didn't like it. Too wispy-whiney-pansy for me. All these guys I know listen to HIM just because of Bam Margera. And it's funny too because they would never listen to that kind of music otherwise, it's just because of Bam plugging the band. If Bam had nothing to do with HIM and I played HIM for them, they would probably say it was the worst shit they ever heard.

gas lipstick, the drummer who looks like a newborn the size of a grown man

lily lazer, the lice-ridden guitarist who tries to hide his bad solos behind lots of distortion

mige amour, ville's long time friend and bass player who has the fashion sense of a bum

byron, the ape who learned to play keyboard

ville valo, the singer, who was once bishonen, but obviously has eaten too much fast food in the last few years

their music is like emo, with ville's forced bass vocals superimposed over the rather amateurish instrumental section... if you americans don't know it, believe me, you haven't missed much

(do is sound bitter? maybe, my fiancee was the world's biggest HIM-fan some time ago )

I like the album with "Wicked Game" and "Don't Fear the Reaper" pretty well. Had no idea Bam Magera gave them props -- I just heard about them from my friend Fallon. It's not a work of genius, but somehow the satanic imagery makes the emosity more acceptable.

I used to like him I went to see them play in brum me and my friend downed half a bottle of vodka before we went in then hit the double jd's and coke so I thought it was amazing, somehow they got a big mosh pit going to them (no I cant figure that one out but there was). It was quite funny though as at the end when they were clearing everyone out for subculture my friend found a bra pad on the floor and she said 'ohh sovenir' and i said 'hey thats the same color as mine' and looked down to see that I only had one boob left hehe

Actually, HIM is quiet enjoyable Finnish Goth. Although I must mention that I am attached to music from my ancestral homeland, weather it be 'cheese ball' or not. A lot of Finnish music does tend toward Melodrama, but I find that is quite common in Goth, no matter what anyone says. Diva's abound.
