After reading Black Orchid I don't think anyone would call her a wussy...if anything she is one of the more disturbing and powerful villians ever...in the right hands she's been downright horrific over the years.

I know this sounds bad... but I fuckin' hate cartoons. Like saturday morning ones. I can handle the adult, cool comic book ones... but.. when I was younger and that came on as the one thing to watch on tv on saturday afternoon, I pretty much wanted to put a bullet in my brain. It's a classic now...Gaiman did a great interview years ago talking about it. The editor he meet with couldn't understand his accent at the time so when he asked Gaiman what character he wanted to do and he said "Black Orchid" the editor heard it as "Blackhawk Kid". So he's like "Who the hell is Blackhawk Kid?" for a few minutes until they could finally understand each other.

Gaiman was always smart in using long forgotten characters to do his bidding...it let him play in someone else's sandbox with his his own toys.
