Dimebag Darrell is dead, I'm getting drunk

Dimebag Darrell was just shot to death while performing in a little club in Columbus. A girl I used to party with in Los Angeles just overdosed. I feel like this is Deathcember and I am about to get very very drunk.

5 dead, 2 others wounded. Dimebag Darell + the drummer of Damage Plan are both dead, 2 audiance members & the shooter himself (he was shot by a cop). 2 other audiance members were also shot but not fataly. the fucked up part is that the guy who did it, reasoning was "they cause pantera to break up" wich is shit because the lead singer was the one who caused pantera to break up.

Yes, he is.. but they haven't released the last victims name. Not sure if it was actually him or not. If you go to damageplan's site they just have a pic of Dimebag up with the RIP and everything.. so, I'm assuming it wasn't Vinnie that died as well.

I'm not a fan, but that does suck.

I know the witness, Chris Couch (as a friend of my younger brother and friend of another friend of mine) and even more fucked up that if I was still living in Detroit, I would have been at the show last night, not to mention the show that would have been tonight in Flint, MI for sure.

Love or hate the music, the band(s), the scene, the fans or whatever ... Dimebag and Pantera were influential for many musicians and the industry as well as many others.

I can't believe some asshole killed him. I loved Pantera. I saw them years ago. I liked Damage Plan alot too.
Its fucked up, and people are stupid. It is going to make going to shows more and more of a pain in the ass. How did that guy get a gun into the club? Is the nyc & philly the only places that do pat downs?

I am sorry about your friend.....but I have one HUGE problem....you going out and getting drunk to deal with it, what a waste of time and money. Drinking isn't going to make it go away. Drinking to take away pain is the saddest condition of humanity....the pain just doesn't go away....it takes time.
