    Default Romantic Dinners

If you were planning a romantic dinner, what would make it romantic? Home or restaurant? Do you find more upscale or more divebar romantic? Candles? Type of food? Darkness? Ambiance? Decor?

Of course, the company is the most important thing. I'm partial to some of the traditional things. Restaurant fine dining, getting dressed up, candles, subtle lighting, low voices, unobtrustive service. Dive bars can be sexy, but I don't think of them as really romantic.

Romantic dinner for me means somewhere private... usually the roof of a building.

Amelia, when I come to LA, we should get all dressed up and go out to dinner!

I love the really really posh, really expensive restaurants. And I LOVE to get totally decked out, evening gown, bag, perfect makeup, nails, the whole thing.

Unfortunately it is never romantic, because hot cute sexy boys never have any money, so I end up going out with horrible investment bankers with bad toupees....

Well, maybe someday, when Johnny comes marching home....

Yes I have to agree with a posh place, low lighting, candle lit dinner. I tend to lean toward ittalian for romantic dinners. Just make sure to keep the wine/drinks flowing in my case hehe. If its a non holiday romantic dinner, try going on a non-busy day, so you have less hassels with waits on food or service.
