    Default Affordable Permanent Hair removal?

    I want to remove a large portion of my body hair for a long period of time if not permanently. Is there a reasonably safe/affordable way to do this? I know depilatories aren't permanent and neither really is waxing. As for shaving, too much of a hassle and very uncomfortable.

    Suggestions?

    I want to do the same thing.

    I doubt that those permanent hair removal creams really work, but they might.

    Electrolisis is another supposedly permanent way.

    I used to know of a sure fire way to remove most body hair permanently, but I dont remember what that way is/was.

    Electrolysis=Expensive I looked into it.
    If I had the money I'd go for it but I'm unemployed and even when I had a job I didn't quite have the cash to blow on something so secondary..

    I know, and I think they charge PER HAIR!

    ...or at least that is what the people that do that, that I have encountered so far, have said.

    I'm more interested in a once in semi permanent method that even when the hair grows back in its lighter in color and less coarse.
    $25-$150 per treatment is a bit steep.

    Electrolysis is pretty painful. I bought a machine for this in college once and neither I nor any of my friends could stand the pain enough to remove any significant amount of hair. And the hair will generally grown back in at least some places, although thinner and finer.

    I waxed my legs and underarms for years and now the hair in those areas grows in pretty thin, so I just shave. Seems like not enough to be worth waxing.

    Thinking about getting laser, but that is definitely pricey. Works best on people with dark hair and fair skin.

    Maybe this would be a good website (for those who still have questions)? Hair Facts seems to explain what "permanent" means in terms of advertising, what's expensive, what some procedures entail, etc.

    I think I've been on this site before.
    There was this one depilatory I was looking at that supposedly returns body hair when it grows back in to the state it was when you were a baby. (i.e. very fine blonde hairs almost undetectable.)

    That would be perfect.
