    Default Favorite Holiday?

I want to know what is everyones fav holiday. I like Halloween (how unoriginal, I know) Its been my fav since I was a kid, that and back then I liked Christmas, for the presents. Now, I dont like too many holidays, except Halloween. I like the idea of scaring people, and getting scared back. Im looking for ideas for the coming Halloween season, and anything from decorating, stories, fav memories, pictures that anyone wants to share, whatever holiday you choose. So come on, talented, scary people, lets see what you all think.

That holiday, in April, in Thailand that lets you have random water fights with complete strangers on the street, anywhere-- even if you're driving. It's a real holiday but I forget what it's called.

I would also have to say that one of my favorite holidays is Halloween. I love it when people go all out with their costumes. The one day of the year that you can be anything or anyone you want.

Christmas... It's unoriginal and all, but it's one of the few times I get to see my family. I spent my 19th Christmas in boot camp... That put things in perspective reeaaal quick...

I Love seeing what other big cities do for Halloween. The Halloween Parade in NYC is a great sight if you have never seen it.

I bet NYC has some of the best parties around, especially on NYE. I have yet to live a nightlife in NYC, but one day... In SF during Halloween the Castro district gets crowded with revelers. You have 70% of the people going on public transit in costumes, which is a great thing to see. However, they've had to jack up security in the Castro, since there have been gang-related fights during the party. Well, that's what last year was like, but I didn't go last year.

next time Im in California, Im definitley checking out SF, everyone I meet who's been there reccomends it highly. It would be even better to see it for Halloween. If you ever do get a chance to see the NYC Haloween Parade, do check it out. Its great fun, and so many people get involved.

Here's a couple of pics of a major water fight in the middle of traffic:

I went in mid-April. The holiday was a couple of days long I think-- it might've been a week. It might also happen in September, but I'm not sure.

It's Halloween (especially in the evening). For a few years it was Groundhog's day though.

NYE is always depressing. theres some holiday in one of the asain countries where they build a giant shrine to evil, and then the villagers draw straws to see who will be on the side of the evil, and they they try to fight off the rest of the village as they attempt to burn down the shrine.
