Default I need a good step sequencer

Gor you people here who work with tecno and other electronic music i am having some rewire compatibilty problems with fruity loops and i want too know if there are any other good step sequencers out there (I would use Reason but i cant the bootleg copy i have to work right and im not paying $500 to buy it) so yeah the other programs i use are cubase, ableton live and sound forge (i also have cakewalk and Acid Pro 5 but i dont like them) so if anyone could recomend another program similar to fruity loops that would be great.

my brother is visiting from TN in a while,he uses reason to makes dumb rap beats and sell them to local rappers for kicks,as well as some really good stuff......he's swears buy it........

he said he'll teach me how to use reason and acid together......thought that was pretty cool of him.....

I would use reason but i cant get it to work i dont think my comp has enough RAM. Fruity Loops works really well for its just i have trouple integrating it with Cubase and Ableton Live. BTW Ableton Live is way better than Acid Pro ive treid both And Live blows Acid away its also what most pro DJs use

yeah the only thing is Live has a pretty steep learning curve and you will almost definitely be spending a decent amount of time reading the manual
