Default How NOT to save people

I'm all for people trying to help.

I'm even all for celebrities trying to help.

However doing it half assed is simply dangerous to all involved.

You can make of the situation what you will but you gotta wonder what gets in peoples heads some times. I like Sean Penn and all but dude put some effort and thought into it at least. Hell at least some preperation...I think he'd be better off sticking to donations or next thing we'll see is "Coast Guard rescues hollywood actor from gator infested swamp".

Sean Penn is a cartoon character

    Permalink | Comments | Tuesday - September 06, 2005
Sean Penn planned a personal rescue of Katrina victims over the weekend but forgot to plug a hole in the bottom of his boat. The vessel began to take on water within seconds of its launch, forcing Penn to frantically bail water out with a red plastic cup. Additionally, the boat's motor failed to start and those aboard were forced to use paddles.
With the boat loaded with members of Penn's entourage, including a personal photographer, one bystander taunted the actor: "How are you going to get any people in that thing?"
I wish I was making this shit up, but horrible tragedies have a way of bringing out the ridiculous in celebrities. When you literally have hundreds of millions of dollars at your disposal, setting out on a paddle boat with your personal photorapher probably isn't the best way you can help. Maybe he's challenging Mariah Carey for the title of Sluttiest Most Unhelpful Celebrity Ever.

Thanks to the strikingly handsome Donald for the tip.

Yeah but the images that SHOULD be massive are not and the ones that are tend to suck...the head man at that site ditched out not to long back and will THANKFULLY be doing a celeb site with the gorillamask crew. That should be entertaining. Insane...but entertaining.

oh god... i saw this on the news last night, i had no idea he was doing such a shitty job of it!!
although harry connick jr was out there too, and he got an old man off his porch and got him to safety, he was there for days, with no food or water, and nothing to wear... even gave him his nice blue shirt what a cool guy...
but sean penn... damn... thats just sad.
