yeah both people seems to be a little, how do I say, not entirely of sound mind. however, the question is whether they have commited a crime, or rather has someone's freedom been violated? I would say no. I wouldn't condone it, and like I said these people clearly have some issues, but I don't think in this scenario that one person was harming another one.

I don't want to see it. But you best believe if it's out there on the internet and it involves child porn..the gvt has it monitored somehow...so I tend to stay away from that stuff. It makes me ill as well.
Shoot, when I see all these 'child modeling' paysites with little girls in bikini's trying to look sexy...charging like 29.95 a month. It makes me sick. It makes me sick to think of the mom, dad, or uncle trying to make a buck out of their children by peddling them on the internet where they can be subject to sexual predators like this.
It curdles my blood.

Have any of you actually joined that message board somethingawful.com did their 'crusade' on?

Out of curiosity, I have. And Im quite surprised. Having wanted to be a psychologist and being close to an associates degree in abnormal psychology, I am fascinated by what mainstream labels 'abnormal' thought patterns and actions.

This specific message board is for GLs (stands for Girl Lovers) and focuses on girls under the age of 10. After reading different threads for hours upon hours to study exactly what makes these people tick, I was surprised to see that a majority (about 90%) of the board members do not advocate any sexual tendencies or actions towards young girls, and actually speak out against these types of actions. Sure there are a few members on there (about 20%) that have spoken about their fantasies of being sexually active with girls under 10, but it was few and far between. And when they speak of these fantasies, I also observed that very few of them (about 5% of that 20%) actually wanted a penitration type of sexual relationship. Mostly they talked about kissing, some oral (I didnt observe one person who actually wanted to recieve it, but give it, then again I havent read every thread either) and watching young girls masturbate.

Many of the members there actually think that they are in love or love little girls, and take their obsession a little too far, in the public opinion (as well as mine). The main focus of their obsessions with little girls is teaching them about love, sex, and life...and only want to show them that they are worthy of being loved. Many want to teach young girls about sex and how to enjoy their own bodies so they make better lovers to their men when they grow up. Many have seen young girls masturbating and a few members there (by their posts) have actually had young girls want/ask about sex. It gets a little more in depth, but I really dont want to get into it.

Without that board, its in my opinion that there would have been more molestation cases by those members, because they are in ways a support group. They are praised when they turn down or dont act on sexual advances, and are not judged or criticized... because they can openly talk about these things with people of like minds. Because of this they talk about their fantasies and share their stories, they turn to each other for support when faced with a situation where they arent sure if they can make the right decision. I think its wonderful that they have found each other, I have observed only good and no harm. Many members think about the girl and her future, they only want whats best for her, and know that if they were to have any sort of sexual relationship with a child it would get them in trouble as well as possibly damage her and cause hatred towards them.

I am not in any way condoning child molestation or ****. I do not judge people, regardless of how taboo their fantasies and thoughts are, unless they act on them.

Being on this board where many of us have been judged and labeled, Im surprised to see such willingness to condemn these people because they think the way they do. None of us have any right to support condemning thoughts or fantasies, especially when some of our fantasies revolve around ****, violence, etc. If you dont like what they are saying, move on and dont read it. Especially when you do not know the whole story or big picture. Educate yourselves on these people before making such harsh judgements and statements. I am a huge advocate of freedom of speech, and they are exercising that right instead of damaging young children and families. Hopefully my post has either educated or opened up minds. Make your decision about things after you have some insight.

play around with the rights of adults, if you will. they can take care of themselves most of the time. children need protection from predators, and the only useful function that message board can perform is to bring them to the attention of the authorities.

if you think i sound like a fascist.. i'm speaking as someone who, in the course of a custody battle, was accused of being a pedo. i've been interviewed by angry cops who thought they might have a genuine sicko on their hands, and i was kind of relieved when they realised i wasn't, and they got even angrier at having been used that way. it happens a lot in custody cases (and it wasn't even my kid they were fighting over - i just happened to be in the line of fire).

among other things, they took my videotape collection and watched it all over a period of six months. they saw a lot of STTNG, Red Dwarf, old Warner Brothers cartoons and Cure videos and a couple of obscure 30s German impressionist films. they actually apologised when they returned the tapes, saying "we have to check out every report, just in case".

as i said earlier in this thread.. people can be big when they think they're anonymous, on the net. when the Man turns up with a warrant, they become a lot smaller.
