Good evening everyone:

Ok, so it's friday night, my husband is overseas, and I'm alone with a bottle of rum. (Think Pirates of the Caribbean, beach rum scene)...

I need to talk about something....anything...(sure, I'm desperate, I'm willing to admit to it)

Debate with me about the meaning of life...are we god's creatures? Was Darwin right? Are we all cattle on a large alien farm called Earth?

Does anyone know anything about the TV series Firefly? Joss Wheadon (sp?) released the movie based on the show...called SERENITY..came out in Canada on Sept. 30th...seen it?
or
Anything...I'm just itching to get into a debate or chat...

Again, I realize this sounds desperate, but come on, how many of us have never come here, looking for people like us, in our time of need? How many of us can say that we have never just needed human contact, even if they are far away, and we may never see them or even know their real names?

So....here I am! Talk to me!

My husband is sooo addicted to that show. He pays the 3$ per episode on our cable all the time. Have not seen the movie yet though.

Yeah, you can get the whole series in one package, including 3 never-aired episodes. Plus the special features are pretty cool.

The cheapest I've seen the set is 27 bucks.

I love the Firefly boxed set. The commentary by Joss and Nathan on the pilot was hilarious and interesting. Also, I love the gaffe that they point out at the end of the episode. I never even noticed it until they pointed it out on the commentary.

Firefly is the purest thing to be pure ever purified. It's so pure I had to make up a new slang word (IE, "pure") to describe it's purity.

I've watched the movie and loved it almost as hard as it loved me. Perfect. Damn good. Oh my.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Firefly and the movie Serenity....I am so jealous Rockwulf that you have the whole series....Jayne Cobb is my absolute most favorite person on the show my second would have to be River....She kicked ass in the movie ...And the costumes *drools* I would love to reproduce them...I hope they come out with another movie...that would soo rock...

My husband and I basically have the DVD's memorized! It is such an awesome show because it not only makes a Trekkie like me happy, but a "I hate Sci-fi" guy like my husband happy!
Happiness all around!

I saw Serenity in the theaters, the night my dad died. It was weird, but it was such a great night until I got home and found out what happened. Seeing such a great movie probably helped me cope with the bad news, it was a good night, and it was good to be alive...y'know?
