You'd dehydrate first, which isn't very amusing. I had a massive dehydration when I was a child, this quite sucks.

I recall the part in "Junkie" by William Burroughs where he had that happen, but that was due to shooting up morphine so much. A lot of drug addicts (through prescription of otherwise) just seem to forget about it. I used to be a hydration freak.

But, I'd still rather die on the raft. Of course, the weather might get me first, I guess.

raft or bugs....just different ways to die....On a raft you begin to have delusions and go on a crazy trip before you die (ya, from dehydration)...is it really better than being chewed up and shit?...but you'd have time to reflect and far less panic. Delirium can be fun. In situations like that, people have been known to eat thier own feces and even body parts as uncontrolable survival mode kicks in. What it comes down to is, would you rather have an hour of pain (bugs) or a week of torture?

Or you could fall in the water from Delirium and be eaten by something...or drink sea water and get a hemmorage. Plus their is the fun of being drowned since the weaker you get the less likely you are to stay ON the raft without help.
