yeah, but it's not very smart to talk about insider knowledge of illegal shit in a public place either.

that's enough probible cause for the feds to easily trace your personal info and show up at your door.

I saw the topic, figured that I would nip in and vote for caffeine and beta blockers. How much they count on the "drugs" front, I'm not sure, but I don't go a day without them.

No it is not. Even if you have your full name and social security number and home address on your profile there is no proof it is you posting and I surely do not have that on my Blue Blood profile. I have also talked about my own personal drug use in magazine interviews where it was a lot more provable it was me and I have never had a problem. It should all just be technically legal too but the feds have way better things to do with their time.

The MDMA thread made me think of this.

Mainly tobacco, in cigarette, pipe tobacco, and occasional cigar forms, the occasional drinky-winky (beer and the very occasional glass of whisky or other hard liquor), and with some friends, the odd bit of mary-jane every now and then.

Like to say that I generally stick to the traditional Irish-American vices, smokin', drinkin', cussin' and blasphemin'.

i felt like a was part of some kind of supernova, i could feel the planets bursting all around me, quite amasing. the effect was short, for me it was about 1 hour.

you are however, more likely to find me with a brandy and dry, weed, green tea and... candy floss. good god do i love candy floss. blood is good too.

So we here at BB can never get enough of talking about drugs, so I would like to ask a question on the subject........

Do you think it is strange that someone would switch back and forth between heavy use of marijuana and speed? See, I used to be a big pot head, back in the day, then I went through a brief but intense speed addiction, and after I kicked that I didn't go back to the pot but rather the alcohol. Anyhows, I had heard mention recently of a girl who switches from one addiction to the other, and I was wondering if this is common??? I have a hard time seeing how someone would find both appealing in the addictive sense. I can see how someone addicted to one would do the other on occasion, but to switch between upper and downer addictions with some regularity, frankly, confuses me!

i thought i had already posted in this thread but couldnt find it. weed used to be my drug of choice - even after i became chemically dependent to it and thoroughly addicted to it. it eventually began giving me panic/anxiety attacks and with the help of therapy/treatment, i was able to quit using it.

since then, i have really only used opiates. they are my new favs. plus the occasional drink or bottle of absinthe when the opportunity arose.

I understand the point of "experimenting" and there are a few rare individuals that gain personal insight through their experiences with drugs (that requires you to have some beforehand, though.)

really the whole industry of it is just sad and pathetic. I really don't see the point in trying to talk it up. there's nothing glamorous about people sick and dying, becoming parasites that you don't want to know and can't trust, standing on a corner haggling for a hook-up, or if you are at the upper echelon of people that are "above that", just sitting around as your time is wasted away for a memory that will be nothing more than a hazy recall.

hey, I'm no puritan. I've done drugs out of desperation, I've done them for mindless pleasure, and I've done them for spiritual meditation. While the last bit sounds more noble in theory, it's really just the same thing when you get down to it. I recognize it for what it is, and I don't try to say that it's anything else but a temporary escape.

I haven't done anything harder than coffee in the past year or so, and I wouldn't have any reservations about getting fucked up tomorrow. But I can also honestly say that if I chose to, I could go the rest of my life without them. If you can't say the same thing and offer proof of it, you might need to reexamine yourself and your habit.

You better not be talking about me.... thats one thing I take offense to is someone insinuating that I'd steal for drugs.... or something of that nature... I have never stole a damn thing for drugs!!! I've withdrawal'd for weeks at a time rather than beg for money or stolen off anyone... so you better be making your high horse opinions about something
else... you dont know shit about me.

I have never took my chronic pain addiction out on anyone!!!!
I dont break red too often... but when you start making stereotypical judgments about an op8 addiction.... I've got a big FUCK YOU!!!! to respond with.

My mom for instance... she made a lot of bad judgment calls the first couple of yrs I was in pain.... she would roll her eyes if I'd have a hard time getting up... or make comments like I was faking just to be able to take medication... or whatever...

She now has the same sacroiliac joint dysfunction and 5 buldging disks....( she doesnt have the fibromyalgia though)

she now understands chronic pain, and since, has apologized to me several times over. WHO does she talk to, when no one else wants to hear her complain? ME. because I know that she really needs someone to talk to, that its not COMPLAINING....
Most ppl who have never had chronic pain, always think that people make their pain an excuse to get the spotlight on them.

Who says I'd even visit you in the first place....

I took a lot of offense to what you had to say.... I recognize that you may chime in and be all like....I wasn't referring to you but rather the others that do drugs....
I still take offense... because its a stupid stereotype... that has warranting in certain situations....but it pisses me off that you'll sit back and say that just because you're not a user... and somehow that makes you better of a person.

I honestly hate to tell you.... that you are ONE car wreck away from a life time of chronic pain....
Just like my mom, she's someone that wont hardly take an asprin or a motrin if she's dying in pain!!
She's resorting to taking something NARCOTIC for pain... because if the pain gets bad enough you may be able to hold out for a while, but after a few weeks or months of it... but eventually, you'd eat shit if it means a little bit of relief.

Dont say shit about what you dont know.... You're typically grumpy around here.... for who knows for what reason... I'm not going to speculate.
If you've got a lot of hate to spray.... thats an addiction thats worse than any chemical related one.

To the people who didnt get off on salvia....
Maybe its because you didnt use the correct kind of lighter.
    A regular lighter doesnt work.

You'll need a torch lighter to get it to work.

Most ppl make the assumption that they're tolerance is too high because of other substances they've tried...when its actually due to their lighter usage at the time of the salvia intake.

ooof this thread is getting ugly!

i cycled off my drug use at the beginning of the year and feel great! the main goal is that people are getting the most out of their lives, are happy and not harming others.... for some people that includes using drvgs, for others it doesnt.... i say it's cool either way!!

In the past Ive done everything short of IV use. Spent a couple years on meth, grossest thing on the planet. Cut back to mostly Weed and Beer (Guinness and New Castle) with mushrooms now and then. I wish I had connections for Coke and X but I fell out of the culture after getting married (divorced now)

i actually partially credit salvia divinorum for helping me get past the urge to use pot on a daily basis. i cant really explain it but i just lost the need or urge to smoke up all the time. i think what it really did was allow me to view my use and subsequent panic/anxiety attacks as being something that wasnt worth the effort. it just really changed my perspective on it.

the therapy i was also undergoing at the time was a big help as well. first for my substance use as a form of "self medication" and then later for my underlying illnesses of bipolar disorder and panic/anxiety disorder.

Salvia is a shamanistic drug, as is marijuana.
Both should be done in terms of expanding the mind than to numb and escape from the world.

Salvia allows a person to be .... isolated... and brought back far enough to evaluate one's life, for a better path.

While marijuana has a way of putting things into perspective, and helping sort things out.

One is exclusive, and one is inclusive.

I'm glad you had a shaman type of reaction to your usage. Drugs can be therapy or destruction.

I'm going to publicly apologize for me breaking red on MG. MG was kind enough to provide an explanation in a private message.... that I wont share without permission first, but I will show you all what I said in my reply.

"Actually, I appreciate this message more than you know.
I didnt realize that you were joking....

BUT what occured was what I like to refer to the incident as The Sunburn Effect...
Friend A comes up to friend B and gives friend B a hearty pat, unmeaningly causing friend B an intense amount of pain, causing friend B to react... both physically, and vocally. Friend A is shocked and surprised not knowing a joking gesture would result in such a reaction.

I accept my error in this incident... You were clearly unaware that I'm sunburned in this area, I've been thru hell over all this... and am misjudged all the time ... by Dr's or family members... employers.
I've never had any sort of surgery... so I have no scar... otherwise, I look totally NORMAL so thats what they see, and believe what they want to.....

I'm one of the only ppl that arent running to the emergency room, if i run out of meds, I'm not begging for money, or stealing... I will lay dope sick PLUS rebound pain... in total AGONY...
When this happens, I get judged as well, even though I'm doing the right thing.
"Why do you let yourself get in this position" "you need to get off that shit..."
Blah blah... it goes on forever.

I am sorry for the FUCK YOU remark. Only because you werent trying to insult me.
I take full responsibility for being sun burned... and reacting accordingly to a gesture that shouldn't have caused such a reaction.

I try my hardest to always do the right thing, to the best of my ability... I dont wish to hurt your feelings.
My anger is more so misdirected at you when it should be directed (if at all) to the ones who've actually done the judging.

I appreciate your private message.... more than you know. AND I'm glad that you see into me, more than just the incident, where I over reacted.

I ask that you accept my apology.
I find that non users TYPICALLY think they're better than users. This is another battle I face...

SO your comment.... that I lost my humor in the war, that couldnt be more true... The war on drugs.
Thank you for not allowing this incident to discolour our budding friendship. OR tarnish your opinion of me."
