    Default Is it 2008 yet?

SO if you were running for president, what would your platform be? What would be some of the things you'd change first?

My whole thing would be the future..I know I know its been done before, but seriously I ask you .."where are the flying cars?"
And what the fuck is everyone fighting about? If people would lighten up a little bit things would be so much better. We need to stop trying to take over the world, I know it's what america does, but it needs to stop. Focusing our energy on taking care of our people and working from the inside, instead of way out there. I mean, if we would stop pissing people off ,people wouldnt be pissed at us
And I would push for technology to be able to advance, plus bring on the stem cells!
I'd legalize pot and take all of the money made and save to enforce fighting meth (icky stuff)
I'd make gay marriage legal (duh)
I would want the jail systems tougher on sexual predators, capitol punishment in full swing.

oh my goodness there are too many to list lol

Now now, I know its not like a preident or anyone can just snap their fingers and really make any of this possible just like that...but its fun to think about...

hehe anyhow, im not a political person or anything...I just thought it'd be fun to hear your guys' ideas

If only it were that simple, love.
    If only.

In my first hour class, I have to sit in with a bunch of 11th graders (my class is online, and they have to stick me in someone's class)
the girl who sits right across from me has stated loudly & proudly to the whole class that she is very conservative and wants a conservative president, and her love for president bush.
& right across from her sits little ole liberal me.

whenever I stay in class, we debate frequently.

My point in this is that no one will ever see eye to eye, people will always bicker over something. Keeps things interesting. I love diversity. I just dont like ignorance & intolerance.

    & wow, I had a point when i started typing this but I fear . . . I just lost it hahahaha

& with that I say, I'd never run for president. I think it would be my worst nightmare honestly.

    but yay for

I'd start by attacking Canada. Then I'd build more canals and hash bars. j/k

I guess I'd start by looking at what this administration is doing and do the exact opposite. I'd focus on our forign policy mostly (that and attacking Canada.)

oh where to start! Personally I ouldn't want the pressure of being the first female president too much responsiblilty. but I do have alot of ideas that I'm sure no one agrees with. Gay marriage, stem cells, bringing our troops home and telling the middle east to sort out it's own problems, find alternative fuel sorces, outlaw suvs, send women home to raise thier kids, socialised health care, abolish credit reports for the most part*, equifax will be brought up on some kind of charges to bankrupt them**, unionize adult film and dancers etc etc.

    K

*- I have the money, a job and great rental history but because there are some unpaid medical bills i can't have this apartment? wtf? also tryingto geta job this week EVERY app I filled out wanted to do a credit check. the only explaination any one could give me was "so they can see if you'll steal from the company". horseshit. Also thirty companies dinging my credit in two weeks is gonna lower the score considerably. ARRG!

**-- for the unitiated and overseas friends, Equifax is the company that many shops run your personal checks through to make sure these checks are yours and they won't bounce. However, if the check number is less than 400 or something they will deny you out right. ARRG!

This is where I get the friction usually. I'm an old fashioned kind of girl who belives that if you're going to go through all the the trouble of having the kid in the first place you should be the one to raise it. Not the television, Not the nanny, Not the daycare, the Mommy. Dad is supposed to help of course when he's not out providing for the family and protecting his home and loved ones. I was born in the wrong era. *sigh* I'm the only girl I know who is happy to cook and clean for my husband. Heck I even sew. The only reason we don't have kids yet is cause those things are expensive!

Speaking of parents raising their kids. I work for a mentle health hospital for troubled, abused, ect--children. Many of these kids from what I have seen over the 17 months I've been there is thier parents don't want to be bothered. So as President, I would have those parents shot, or hanged, in public and their kids would get the break they deserve....

Reality? It sucks to see the way the world is going man.............

Fair enough. My mother has quite the same view. She would rather just stay home and do the house work and take care of kids. I understand there are women who enjoy it. & I honestly have much respect for that. I couldnt ever do it, thats for sure.

I love sewing, and I enjoy some housework . . . . its just I'm not very good at it haha

Just if we ever hear keiko for president, please keep us who couldnt raise kids and do housework if our lives depened on us, in mind.

Note: I never want to have kids. so yeah hehe

I agree in a sense I do think that one of the parents need to be home at all times, it that means both working part time, then so be it. But unfortunatly its hard to make it nowdays with 1 income

Flying cars will never exist, period.
As long as there is religion there will religious closed minded morons fighting each other, and that will never cease.
Taking care of our people will only keep taking our "freedom" away more and more.

Now see that's where the 4wk training course and having to prove that you want the kids in the first place before you can actually breed. This is antoher one of thsoe points so many people disagree with me on. It gets compared to the selective breeding programs of the Nazis et cetera. *sigh* No one understands that I only want the best for tbe children we do have. But yes people that have children and don't care for thier own flesh and blood don't count as parents to me nad really we could do with out them any way, so why do we keep them around? These are more than likely the kind of people that don't contribute anything but abused children to society. *shakes head* I'm rambling right off topic again aren't I?

No LoraLie if you didn't have kids I wouldn't make you go home and clean house and be a house wife. I just think hat if you have kids you should raise kids.

It's like if you bake a cake, some one should eat it. If you sit the cake in front of the tv, or send it off ot be looked at by teachers or baby sitters it just goes bad.

    *sigh*

watchu talkin' 'bout keiko? i'm raisin' them damn kids, once i can afford 'em. don't know what the wife wants to do, but i can't leave the raising of my seed to the caprice of some infernal female... she could get post partum depression, start guzzlin' anti-derpressants, and then we'd have that damn tom cruise up in our shit... no thanks...

seriously, call me old fashioned, but i'm not letting those kids outta my sight until they can single handedly best large predator animals with their bare hands... (so at least until their 6-7, or so...)

no, no... the raising of the young is far to important to be left to the vaugiers of 'parenting'... the breeding masters will select genetically promising pairs, and allow them to procreate, either in the traditional form, or in vitro... then the newly liberated fetus', once their gestation period has run it's course will be transfered to the Halls of Discipline, where their young minds, and bodies will be molded, honed, and tempered into the living weapons, and scientific geniuses that the citizens of Busteronia have come to rely on for their salvation during these coming Ecological Endtimes...

...that, and i'll tax the fucking catholic church... the other churches too, but the pope gets the shaft first.

Yeah from looking at the price sheets these kid things are an EXPENSIVE fricking hobby! Hell months before you even get the damned thing it's a real pain in the lower back. Then there's dr visits and prenatal care and vitamins and baby clothes and furniture..etc... and then when they get there they want everything your body has short of blood (not countng what is spilled durring the actual arrival) food, bathign, diapers, drs, etc etc etc. then it starts walking and growing and talking and then it has to go to school resulting in more food and more clothes and toys to keep it occupied *gasp* You gotta be a freaking millionaire to afford one of these things!

Yeah, but kids are the new MUST HAVE accessory. Kids are like the new toy dogs, and if you really want to be hip you have to adopt. Look at Angelina... She is soooooo fucking cool. I love her.

Lets be serious. Kids are really about status these days. That's why you want to adopt from other countries. Imports cost more. Exotic! Impress your friends. Why drive a Chevy when you can afford a BMW.

Now that I'm on a rant, let's talk about Tom Cruises kid. Have you seen the eyes on that child? They are fucked up looking. Hollow and menacing. They remind me of the OMEN. The anti-christ is born ladies and gentleman. Maybe I was wrong about Cruise? Maybe...

P.S. I know this is one of the stupidest posts I've ever written. So what...

So what does this kid have to do with running for president in two years?

I call for welfare reform. Over haul all the schools. ALL OF THEM. American port security should be handled by americans. Stop outsourcing. (when i call for customer support for my cable in fla i don't want to talk to some one in canada or new delhi). Outlaw High Fructose Cornsyrup. that kind of thing.
