    Date: Saturday, November 25th, 2006.

Venue: The Crillon Hotel in Paris, since 1991.
Event Description: The twenty-four “new debs” are introduced to the 300 guests and to the Media, modelling Haute Couture for the benefit of charity.

Charity: A worldwide charitable organization fighting diabetes.

Patrons of the Ball: The jeweller adler and Mr. Barry Sternlicht, Chairman and CEO of Starwood Capital Group. All the “new debs” wear pieces from the jeweller adler.

Founder and organizers: Ophelia Renouard, Benedicte Gandilhon and Vanessa Legentil from Société Emblème.

Haute Couture Houses: All of the French Haute Couture Houses and select foreign Couture Houses participate. The heads of the Couture Houses and their designers are invited to attend the Ball.

Ball Gown: The HC houses are happy to entrust a gown to the “new debs”, but they must fit the Haute Couture requirements. No gown is larger than a size eight.
The ball gown must be very sophisticated, however, preferably not white or black.

Press Coverage: This event attracts important press coverage worldwide, especially in fashion and society pages.

Pre-Publicity: Prior to the ball, all “new debs” are photographed in the Couture House that dresses them. Some of them are photographed at home and at the jeweller as well.
All the “new debs” spend the Friday prior to the Ball, November 24, 2006, on photo shoots for various magazines.

Financial Aspect: The “new debs” and the Couture Houses are invited to participate. There is no participation fee.
The foreign “new debs” are the guests of the hotel for three nights, beginning the Thursday prior to the Ball, but are responsible for travel to and from the Ball and personal expenses.
We recommend that the parents choose to stay at the Crillon for location and convenience. There is a special rate for guests of the Ball.

Parents: The parents are invited to the dinner and the Ball by their hosts, the jeweller adler and Mr. Barry Sternlicht. The attire is ball gown and black tie.

Escorts: Each girl may bring her own escort to the Ball, as long as he dresses in white tie.
Our office provides an escort for each girl who comes alone.

Never for a Debutaunt Ball. All my strange emails are random word generator spam.
*sigh* my family was too broke for me to get a Ball. I got a Doll though, which is supposed to be te last "toy" a girl recives before becomming a young lady. In a white dress with a blue sash Dawn is still in her box.

Sorry about the whole weepy sentimental. 5 am and lots of cold meds will do that to a person.

i find it sad that (in canada anyways) size 14 is considered plus size. 14 IS AVERAGE!!!! im a fuckin size 14...well... i was before i got pregnant... who knows what size ill be afterwards, after all the weight i lost with the morning sickness hehe...
but still. its sad if youre not a stick, apparently youre fat. wtf?
and my favorite girls are the ones that arent sticks yummmm... natural big boobs and hips... *drool*

*chuckles* In the states, plus sized starts at twelve. *nods* At least for models, there is vast debate as to what is plus sized in Regularville.

Girls with hips, and voloptuous thighs are mmmmmm. Not obese or anything just..womanly. I don't care about boobs, but there is just something about nice hips and legs. Maybe because thats where I spend most of my time in the bedroom

I've never really been attracted to the small lithe pre-pubescent girl body alot of people seem to value.

My wife is a UK size 20, so she has her "going out clothes" made for her. (You should see how many steel boned cosets she has!)

That rather amusing. I think the oddest 'oops' email I got was accidentally sent to me from some business a couple years ago. The email contained a spreadsheet of their entire yearly budget and what their monthly planned earnings for the coming year was expected to be and what they actually earned monthly versus planned for the past five years.

I replied back, thanking them for the information, then informed them that since I didn't work for their company it was rather unwise for them to send it to me and that they should double check their email database.

I never heard back from them.

Can't stand the stick figures, but I'm a 14 myself so ... meh

The problem is designers find curves too challenging to clothe, I mean we look absolutely fabulous naked and other than latex which suits us to a tee, what would we be wearing? ... Damn work and their suit requirements.

UK and US shoes are quite different ... in Canada I'm a size 9-10, in the UK I'm a size 38-40 ... depending on the style of course. But UK usually fit narrow or wide as well which is fabulous.

It's "for charity", and yet the participants get free hotel rooms, free dresses, free jewellery and a free boi toi. At some point, someone is asking someone for cash and by the sounds of it they're hoping to fleece Mom and Dad for their gold teeth and socks while their little princess is squeezed into taffeta by fifteen SWAT-trained fashion saleswomen on commission.

I half expect the string quartet will be rolled into the ballroom inside a large wooden horse.

I got invited to a party in Boston because someone used my mac.com email confused with someone else. I also got a paid Limewire Mac license and signed up for the Military.com newsletter. I still read the latter.

Oh god I always wanted to be a debutante!! My family were debutants, but my mom married an artist, so we were like the poor relations... I love all that debutatante stuff. I still have this secret desire to break into NY high society or even better British Royalty... I can look the part. In my posh day job I really dress just like a trophy wife.. Unfortunately, the men tend to be dull... And even rich men want to have sex... If I could just marry someone rich and never have to talk to him or have sex with him I think I could do it.

But instead I date these gorgeous broke drug addict playboys... Oh well... They were all really gorgeous. I can't say it's been dull...
