usually i notice the more superficial appearance aspects of a person first. often centered around their face. so that would include things like eyes, hair, lips and ears. yes, ears. i found myself taking note of this girl's ear jewelry the other day at the mall. i live in a small town - very few people out here sport visable body piercings or body piecing type jewelry. when i come across someone with some, it sort of stands out. its nice to run into someone with whom you can start up a conversation with by discussing gauges or where they bought their jewelry. mostly i just get "didnt that hurt?" or "oh my gd, that thing in your ear is huge!"
