so just a question if anyone cares to answer- how will the new Blue Blood differ than the old one--? also will it be sold in the 'porn mag' section or with the 'skin-tattoo section'-usually next to the model railroading mags-

It was a party for the BlueBlood.net relaunch. Much as we LOVE magazines, we're very pleased to be able to publish exciting cool stuff in a new venue. Different stores used to shelve the magazine in wildly different parts of the rack. Criminal Records used to staple it to the ceiling. We created the magazine to fill a void. We wanted something really rockin' cool for adult cool people. There are a lot of us and I think we deserve it. Adult doesn't just mean naked though. Our reviews and fiction were geared to adult minds as well. In my opinion, this website and its sister sites are geared towards some of those same goals.

So yeah, if it had been a party for the relaunch of the Blue Blood print magazine, it would have been a hell of a show. Amelia's launch party for the Swag Magazine project was insane, so I can only imagine what she would put together for Blue Blood in print.

She sold out the #1 club in Hollywood.

Here is a nice review of the party by to cool folks over at WhatYouGet.com's Adult Alternative publication:

In this month's issue of The Adult Alternative we celebrate Amelia G and Forrest Black, two talented veterans of the print and online publishing industry, who are almost single- (or double-) handedly responsible for the creation and growth of an entirely new genre of adult entertainment: Gothic Erotica.

Amelia and Forrest are the creators of Blue Blood magazine. The original journal of counterculture sensuality written by freaks, for freaks, Blue Blood examines darkly sensual topics like Body Decoration, Magickal Ritual, the Beauty of Fetish, and Erotic Art. The magazine's companion site BlueBlood.net is at the center of a growing network that includes the infamous adult sites Gothic Sluts, Barely Evil and Fetish Beauty. When pressed for a definition, Amelia describes their interests as "fetish art, gothic erotica, kinks & BDSM, fantasy roleplay, costume sex, cam archives & shiny fashion." Pausing for a moment, she then adds, "for starters."

On a perfect Southern California evening in late March, the dark duo played co-hosts for the launch party of their new venture, SWAG magazine, with Gothic Beauty publisher Steven Holiday.

Held at the Key Club on the world-famous Sunset Strip, the party drew a capacity crowd of beautiful freaks and curious spectators, out for a smashing good time. Opening the event were the sexy starlets of Gothic Sluts and Barely Evil, their pale and luscious bodies deliciously writhing onstage beneath images of the vivacious Betty Page, whose vintage stag films looped seductively on the gigantic screen overhead. A pounding soundtrack of goth, metal, deathcore and techno was provided by DJ Taime Downe of Faster Pussycat and DJ Lord Spanky of Spanking Machine.

The first band of the evening was LA's Fear Cult, whose debut album "Visionary Complex" will be released by Cleopatra Records this month. Fronted by Matt Riser, the music of this gothic ensemble explores "the darkness of life, the viciousness of love, and the glamour of death." The band went on despite the conspicuous absence of keyboard player Secret Sin, which forced the remaining cultists to play in sync with several pre-recorded tracks. We'll give them another listen before we make our final judgements: you can hear a couple singles at MP3.com.

As the room continued to fill, the next act to hit the Key Club stage was the indescribable Jade-blue Eclipse, an astounding contortionist and performance artist, and occassional model for Amelia's lens (new shots coming to Gothic Sluts soon!) She had the crowd gasping as she twisted her lithe frame into the most incredible positions.

Jade took a breather as her unnamed male companion performed an aerial ribbon-tumbling act while hanging suspended from the club's 30-foot ceiling, and we all stared with our mouths open.

She then finished off the set with a surreal fetish performance involving an inflatable kiddie pool and two gallons of milk. We can argue about whether or not this qualified as "art," but it certainly was fascinating to watch.

By this time, the club was packed with freaks from every part of Los Angeles, including members of Marilyn Manson and Social Distortion, as well as Glenn Danzig. After one more round of sexy strutting, hip-swaying and hula-hooping from Gothic Sluts Aeon, Scar, Szandora and Yolanda, it was time for the much-anticipated final act. The crowd went nuts as My Ruin took the stage.

If you've never heard My Ruin, you owe it to yourself to check them out. The band effortlessly blends the hardest edges of heavy metal, thrash and deathcore with lyrical images of gothic beauty and the unbelievable monster-voice of lead singer Tairrie B (formerly of Tura Satana). My Ruin is scheduled to grace the cover of SWAG issue 2, and you can find their CDs online at Chaos Music. Their new album 'The Horror of Beauty' is due for release this fall.

All in all, the Swag Launch Party was one of the most enjoyable parties of the year so far, and there was no end to the gothic hotties & trisexual eye candy. We're definitely looking forward to the next soiree thrown by Amelia and Forrest - and of course, we'll try to bring you more pictures. But in the meanwhile, if it's gothic hotties you're looking for, just check out the BlueBlood network. These girls will make your blood run hot and cold.

How do you get into parties like that? If you buy tickets, how much do they cost?

Parties like that don't happen too often. I spent a lot to make a bash like that happen. Tickets were pretty inexpensive for what the event was though.

Tickets were just $10 in advance / $15 at the door and were available at Retail Slut, Key Club Box Office, Ticketmaster, and even SwagMag.com with Paypal. But a lot of our models, artists, friends, etc. got invites. The hard part was that a lot of people couldn't get in once the place was at capacity. There was a line all the way down the street. The party was a lot of fun.

The Bats one was a lot more casual. Still packed, but not on the same level of production. We just hadn't done stuff with BlueBlood.net for a while and wanted to relaunch it with a bang. It's going quite nicely now and I'm enjoying it a bunch.
