    All I have to say is, "woot!" Well, really I'm going to say a bit more, but my cell phone and email have been blowing up with pals who assume I am at the San Diego...

    Isn't (wasn't?) San Diego one of the most temperate locales on the planet? I was actually born there and lived there 10 years. I really never understood the concept of "seasons" until moving north. It is hard not to believe in global warming at least anecdotally. The winters in PA and even MN are much milder than in years past.

    I think most cons are just that ... cons.

    Yeah, that's why I am only going down for the party.

    The con itself is hot, and it's the same stuff every year.

    There are always a few cool things to look at, but not worth the hassle, traffic, crowds, etc...
