    Default latex gloves, medium.

so i was wandering through Fitzroy in a drug-addled daze, as usual, when i saw a parking spot outside Lucrezia and De Sade. this meant i had to park in it and go inside and buy some black latex gloves, if for no better reason than to make washing the dishes a little more entertaining.

i don't have any way of judging how large or small my hands are. i've always considered them on the small size, particularly when trying to form a decent B major bar chord. if not small, then at least with Homer Simpson sized fingers. so i got the medium size glove.

turns out it's a bit too small to be comfortable, in that i can barely move my fingers in 'em.

i'd probably destroy them if i soaked them in hot water first, right?

which, the buying of the wrong size, the owning of short fingers or the destroying of the gloves?

Nothing I know can fix it you just gotta go out and get another pair.

Sorry, bro. I gotta pair o' those black latex gloves that fit just fine.

Try returning them with mysterious red stains on them. If they question you, say they came like that.

the people at Lucrezia and De Sade are too nice to want to do that to. i think i will experiment with the soaking them in hot water thing; they weren't that expensive. update on how this went later today.

i know how much it sucks to have hands that don't fit in gloves. they don't make children's sizes in stuff like latex or leather gloves - so I'm just SOL unless I pay for custom jobs (i have itty bitty hands). As I'm broke as fuck - don't think that's gonna happen any time soon. Good luck with your experiment, sugar.

okay, i'm out of the burns ward and i can type again.

any temperature high enough to make the gloves stretchy is also high enough to burn your hand badly. it's one of those obvious-in-retrospect things.
