Default modeling contract cancelld due to publicist?

okay-if anyone watched idol this yar you may or may not have heard bout a very talented seventeen year old by the name of jordin sparks ( an arizona resident) wh won the whole shebang in an almost cinderella-esque performance.
( i know i voted for her lol)

bt before she won idol or every one and anyone kew who she was, she had won a modelling contract with torrid-the sister company of the
"sell out insta goth whatever you wanna call it although love shopping there do somethin bout it." hot topic. well, i was jsut in torrid the other day buying my corsette (which i have shown some montages of in the new corsette topic much to esm's ocular protest im sure) andasked the if she was still modellig for them and wastold that her agent decided it to not be in her best interests to model for a plus size stoe or to represent a roll mdel for plus size women....wtf?
since when is it a bad thng to be a plus size person? and why shouldnt there be roll modelsh for them other than marlon brando and (ugh) kirstie alley?

th whole thing is so ugh! i mean-jordin is above average height and hasa stocky buil. she's not obeseor anythgn-she's mazonian but not like in a bad way and her agent des'nt wnt her representng pople with weight issues thatsfucked up.

It's totally fucked up! This is why there are a lot of girls with eating disorders, because there are no real role models for plus sizes. My wife fits between UK size 18 and 22, depending on the maker of the clothes. She models for a friend of ours that specialises in plus size goth and alternative clothing. She does do clothing for smaller sizes, but she doesn't charge extra for larger sizes, unlike some companies (commonly known as the "Fat Tax").
Here are a couple of pictures of my wife to show you some of the clothing our friend makes.

    gorgeous BSD!!!
and yeah ive always been really annoyed that in canada size 14 and up is considered plus size. THATS AVERAGE!!!
and yeah she should be able to model for whoever the hell she wants to model for. its HER in the pictures, not the agent. the agent works FOR her haha!!

Firstly, Black Spiral Dancer, your wife is gorgeous!

Secondly, I agree with you totally, Malcolm. The shit that goes on behind the scenes of these Idol shows and teeny-bopper shit is horrendous, and is for sure one of the core reasons that our modern day society is plagued with eating disorders.
Her publicist should be encouraging her to model for a plus-sized label/store, it shows strength and courage and creates a positive role model and positive example for younger girls.
