and it could not have come out more perfect. I wish I had a little (like 2 tbsp) chardonnay to deglaze the pan with, but alas, I do not...... but it is REALLY tasty.... 1 point short of perfection.

Smoking... Quiting would be ultimate test of discipline for me, that's how it feels.

As for chicken I finally learned how to prepare chicken the right way (redneck chicken) from a hillbilly neighbor of mine. First you warm it on ~150 Celsius for a hour - hour and half, depending on what type of chicken you're making. And then you finish it on 225-250 Celsius in half hour. If you wrap it in metal foil before oven you'll get a juicy chicken with all juices kept in. I prefer dry one anyway.

My hat is off to you. I quit many years ago, I was a pack a day smoker & I realized how much I spent on it. That made me quit for the most part, I still smoked when drinking etc but then moved the SoCal where they don't do that so I finally quit for good. It can be hard but you should be so proud!

I've already feel like I've gained ten pounds from the oral fixation.

I've been thinking about taking up smoking again.

the problem with getting off suger is that everything either has suger in it, or it has ground up wall-insulation in it. So you can have diabetes or you can have brain cancer. I'll take the diabtes, then I can shoot insulin that comes from the kidney's of third world children, and they're all homeless and starving so they don't have any suger OR wall-insulation. score!
