Thread: 2008 Election - Breakdown

    Default 2008 Election - Breakdown

Here's a neat little article/chart table on the current canidates, and what they will do if they are elected.

In case anybody is still confused on who to vote for (like me).

They break it down into Health Care, Taxes, Social Security, Subprime/Credit Crisis, Education and employment.

well my states Senator is John Mcain, so what does that tell you?

remember every vote counts, so go out there and let your voice be heard!

    ...

upon researching the politcal process, I've discovered that we have an electoral college where each state casts a pre-set number of votes, so actually individual voter turn out is irrelevent.

sorry, I guess your vote doesn't really count then.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

You vote to elect a representative to vote *for* you. Therefore, if the majority of votes go to candidate X, all the delegates (or the % they won, depending on the state) are suppose to go to that candidate.
In theory, if only one person in a state cared to vote, the person he or she voted for wins that state. The greater the number of individual turnout, the more representative the delegates are of that state.

It's kind of a mute point at this time, but I liked the GlassBooth project.
