Aghanistan sucks!

I just thought you should all know that. So... y'all miss me or what? I finally have some working internet that isn't at the control of the Army and lists Blue Blood as a banned web page! Anyway, here's a slight update. First, I got promoted. And not by choice either. The people in charge here stuffed me into being in charge of people instead of just leaving me the hell alone, so I had to face either doing my job plus a rank higher for the same pay or just sucking it up and getting promoted. Turns out after getting promoted I've ended up holding a role of another rank higher anyway. Almost seven months into the deployment and I've got almost 800 hours of logged aircraft maintenance. They're working me to near death out here!

On an upside, I've lost about 15 pounds. I even quit smoking for a little while, but as usual it didn't last. I'm also scheduled to go on leave at the end of April, but somehow I'm also suppose to get home permanently towards the end of May, so I have absolutely no idea how that's suppose to work since it takes a month to get home, have two weeks, then get back.

Enough about me though. How's everyone else been doing? What have I missed in the exciting world of BB forums?

That is funny that Army advertises on Blue Blood sites, but blocks them from view. I didn't know military internet sometimes blocks it. Learn something every day.

The Afghanistan Diet sounds kinda grueling, but, hey, results are results. The economy here sucks so hard that I've been hiking every day and learning to cook complicated things. So the race is on between increased activity and marshmallows from scratch and baby back ribs. Might as well do both, while I have the time.
