Ok, so sometimes I'm the last to know about something kewl...
I found out about a site recently for artists, who make handmade products, and wants to sell them for top dollar (or at least a decent price) in a way similar to Ebay, but its only for handmade stuff... I like that. Giving a hand to the little guy.

I was really happy to find this site... I think its great to celebrate handmade things. esp where most of the products we buy were made impersonally...

Etsy sounds like a likable initiative, but personally I never like the idea of selling my creations. If I stop to think what I spent in time and resources the sums I'd have to charge to profit even as much as I do from my skill-less labour job are things I'd never pay for that sort of thing - and inversely, not sums I actually want to sell them for, either.

I'm part of the 'art and commercialism don't mix' crowd, I think. At least intuitively; my opinion on the matter is in a rather crude stage, so I might change my mind yet.

Raza, I always run into that prob after I create something. Like, before I become emotionally attached to it, while I'm just allowing the expression of the artistic energy to flow... selling the work that I'm into, appears to be an option, but once its finished, I get attached, and have trouble parting with it.

i could never sell anything i'd made if I was happy with it; unless we were talking about huge somes of money of course....
