you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
I was a bit curious about it to be honest cus the commercials make it look like a twilight clone but i did a little looking into it and it's actually based on the early 90's book series of the same name.
interesting premise. girl torn between two brothers who are both vampires that killed their sire while being turned because she wanted them both as lovers. mysterious deaths occur around town......etc etc.
truth be told, i never read the series, im not a big fan of vampire romance even if it's bloody but im thinking of giving this show a try out to see if it's good.
out of all the upcoming shows the cw has planned for fall, it looks the most barable to be honest.
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
Sounds like MTV's Double shot at love version for MTV2 :)
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
Personally I find romance novels excessively boring even when vampires or mystery is involved. I read twilight because my mom insisted it was good but once they got to the love story part I couldn't keep reading it was so bad. While that might be a step up from twilight it can't imagine it being interesting to me.
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
jesus, the CW having anything new and watchable is pretty amazing. i guess they noticed people like the supernatural stuff.
and i am actually looking forward to it. i <3 vampires. *-*
*new true blood soon, yey!*
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
This show will be worse than freeze dried hog shit forever the end.
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
CW canceled "Reaper" so they can all blow me. CW has become the "Caucasian Woman" channel.
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
Meh; there's not really such a thing as good tv. I mean, no offense, but don't you have anything to look forward to in your own life?

Birth, school, work, death.
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
Rrright. And you don't think that if those things leave no room for actually living the kind of situations that excite you (rather than being fed images of them reenacted by others, who you concurrently worship as 'celebrities' for pretending to live the lives you think you want as a pacifying substitute), none of those could possibly be so important that they cannot make whichever room is required to change that?
Fuck work, fuck school, fuck fucking death if you have to. If you can't even be object of your own dreams, you're doing something seriously wrong.
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
You forgot to fuck birth there. :)
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
I found it difficult to envision, but if you can get away with it; more power to you.
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
fuck your mother
but as far as the show goes... I can't watch it, the communists turned off my TV signal.

Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
Yeah, Reaper was pretty entertaining. WTF?

michael ian black was one of the gay demons that was killed off in the last season (when they found out i wanna say his name is sam? was actually the devil's son). he ascended to a guardian angle status after that and was ordered by god to sabotage sams chance of beating the devil to get out of his contract at a game of quarter shots (where you toss a quarter into a shotglass) by breaking his hand cus apparently the only way to get out of a deal with the devil is by beating him in a duel.
it's a cute show. sucks it's going off the air. they even had an episode with stripper clowns in it.:thumb:
why on earth is there not a clown themed strip club? you could get a balloon animal and a lapdance at the same time!:rryumy:
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
the books where good i hope the tv show will be better
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
I enjoyed the first season of True Blood on dvd. Had an interesting take with the sociopolitical and modern pop culture underpinnings (Vampire Rights Amend.?!?) Was less into Twilight and the trailers I saw for Vampire Diaries.
It's nice to see stories that go beyond the "horrors" of exsanguination, but the "love" story aspect can also be overdone. I don't get CW so ..... I have watched more videos in the last few months than I have in years though. Will check it out.

Put [ youtube ] before the video and [ / youtube ] after just the little unique ID for the vid and not the whole URL (removing spaces).
Re: you looking forward to the vampire diaries?
Amelia says in her write-up on the vampire diaries: "Longtime Blue Blood readers are probably aware that I find vampire legends so compelling that I wrote my thesis on how they function as a paradigm for human sexuality." i'd actually be interested in reading that! seriously, any way i could get a copy?
