Re: To *Con* or Not to *Con*
Exotic Erotic Ball in SF was always fun. I'm not sure it would qualify as a con, tho.

Sadly, the only one I've been to was Colossalcon in Independence, OH. I went twice. I'm planning on going to Ohayocon this year.

When I read the title I was thinking of the time that I convinced a couple (new to the area) at my local pub that I was their local city coucil rep.

Re: To *Con* or Not to *Con*
I'm partial to the San Diego Comic Con...It's gotten much more interesting over the years and while it's not as commercially insane as the ones of the 90's it's a hell of a lot more focused and fun. Plus you get the most wildly diverse crowd of any con...from hardline comic geeks to those attached or related to the industry in some way...great place to meet up with people who really see comics as an important artform.
