Default To *Con* or Not to *Con*

This little ditty is geared to those of us who love RPG, Gaming, Anime, etc..

What is the best Con you have been to, what was the theme, the highpoints?. So far to date mine has been Dreamcon in Jax, Fla this past summer. We had Ron Perlman *hellboy* The dude from Space ghost and many more interesting and informative panels. 3 days of non stop gaming (which i had a blast playing Chez Goth, the new Delerium game and LARP white wolf..)24/7 anime rooms and awesome Halo tourneys. it was a Anime/SciFi/Horror Con and Voltaire was the headliner for the ball . I am looking forward to Dragon Con in Atlanta next year , a week long con . Has anyone been to it in previous years? I never thought i would like these events but once you go , you get hooked and the rare things you can buy there are well worth the effort of showing up all in itself. The costuming is creative and entertaining. Last weekend was the Goth/Anime Con in Jax called Nightmare before Thankgiving but it was only one day and lacked momentum.

Exotic Erotic Ball in SF was always fun. I'm not sure it would qualify as a con, tho.

Sadly, the only one I've been to was Colossalcon in Independence, OH. I went twice. I'm planning on going to Ohayocon this year.

I'm partial to the San Diego Comic Con...It's gotten much more interesting over the years and while it's not as commercially insane as the ones of the 90's it's a hell of a lot more focused and fun. Plus you get the most wildly diverse crowd of any con...from hardline comic geeks to those attached or related to the industry in some way...great place to meet up with people who really see comics as an important artform.
