Music... maybe
My friends and i have been struggling as a band for quite some time now. Yesterday there was a large-scale flip-out, and it got pretty scarey. My best friend had an unprovoked moment of hostility, throwing a drumstick at my other friend.
I gather that the source of his frustration was our lack of cohesion, but this is because of my toss-happy buds unwillingness to alter what he is doing to better fit the sound we are creating. Not only that, he expects us to just pick instruments up and start making noise around his, magically transforming it into music. unfortunately, that does not happen, but it would be defeating the purpose to boot him from the band. What should I do, do you think? I really value music, and have been really energetic about this whole endeavor, so I would hate t osee it end like this.

Re: Music... maybe
well , as starting member of 3 bands right now, one that's pretty sucsessful,i often write a show report here,i have delt with a share a arguments.....the key,i think, is to just take it slow, noone can jusy start making music, even grindcore bands with no melody, ect, ect, all need practice and patience.......it's all about being happy and playing what you feel,as a group, soo it's pretty important to have members with same views, but not neccesary........
soo with that said,i'd round up the troops and state all that^^, and to remind them it's music, music is buetiful, always has been always will be,no matter what form ,be it classical Bach, or '60's jefferson airplane, or even death metal/grindcore like cannibal corpse or carcass,,,,it's all music it's all buetifull.........
i should learn how to spell beutiful before i use it so many times...huh.........haha

Re: Music... maybe
if the only things being hurt are feelings, it's just a part of the process. if your friend hates it that bad he'll leave on his own before you have kick him out.
