Police Were Monitoring For Gang Activity
POSTED: 3:38 pm CDT May 26, 2007
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. -- A teenager arrested after police found his pictures of potted marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia posted on a *******.com Web page will serve 30 days in jail.
Moua Yang, 18, pleaded no contest Friday in Sheboygan County Circuit Court to felony marijuana manufacturing and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police monitoring for gang activity traced the information to the Sheboygan teenager from the popular networking Web site.
A criminal complaint said authorities then found three potted marijuana plants in a basement closet at Yang's residence.
Police said they were monitoring another Web site when they saw that Yang had posted pictures of weapons and drug gear and had bragged about the plants in his house.
Yang was also placed on four years probation and had his driver's license suspended for six months. He also has to pay a fine of more than $200 and undergo counseling.

My personal view is that marijuana should be legal. Having said that, this kid needs to use some damn common sense.

An excellent reason not to live in Wisconsin.
Re: Teen Gets Jail After Posting Homegrown Pot Pictures Online
this has happened in other places as well, which is really sad because it's usually fairly widely reported, you'd think these idiots would learn by now,

Agree. But we must stand together for what's right (when we agree). Yeah, he's an idiot. It's still bullshit.

I don't think there is any reason for someone to believe that a photo on ******* is going to land them in jail. I could, with about half a minute on Google, find thousands of images of people showing off drugs or paraphernalia or being wasted on the internet and 99.999999999999999% of those people were never inconvenienced by doing so.
It is a lot like speeding just a little. (In a car, guys. Get your minds out of the gutter.)

This may be, but its not about him personally. I dont do drugs but I feel the war on drugs is very dangerous. Ive thought through these issues all year.

EXACTLY !!! Just one more reason of thousands
why I'm glad to no longer live in the Midwest,
especially Michigan.. where you can get 10 years
for a single joint.
Not to mention, I've posted TONS of pictures
of what I grow, smoke and paraphernalia.. as
well as pictures of my weapons.. it just takes
a bit of common sense.

You really don't want me to go on about
just what I think about the 'war on drugs'
campaign... maybe I'll put it over in the rant
thread or start one... but I can say that
without the medical marijuana program,
I'd be dead. Simple as that.

Someone has to live there, how else are we to
get cheese, beer, bratwurst and Harleys?
Even though Dahmer was doing his best to eat
them all. :1orglaugh
Living there is enough to either want to use or
manufacture quite of number of drugs.

Speaking of people that should be arrested...
take a look at this PSA, just how is
this in any way helpful to their cause?
Pretty much makes the office of drug czar
and MTV look like the assholes that they
are.

I'd love to. They already shot down the California medical marijuana initiative though. www.angeljustice.org . The only good thing is feds have to enforce it. SF still has clinics and California won't enforce it (unless they have douchewad social conservatives in the Attorney General's Office.) The federal laws would have to change. The odd thing is: Liberal Justices voted it down. Clarence Thomas would have allowed it as the right of the state.
Luckily, Jerry Brown (From the DK song is Attorney General now) He's know to take wake and bake on occasion:1orglaugh :thumb:

Due to our heritage, my family has all been laughing at the term Drug "Czar" for years:1orglaugh It just begs to be labelled as the tyranny. Hell, my uncle got Grandpa stoned just to make a point. My Grandpa is an M.D. He knows it works.:thumb:
