ok so its like 2:30am here and i got to wakr up at 6:00 i probslly wont get to sleep unitl 4:00 or 5.its been like this for years going with only a couple or no sleep at all. i did a few essays on insomia in high school, and i consistinly go well undr even the bare minimum amount of sleep.i've adapted to it but working a differnt shift and its been terrible, last sat i went to sleep at 2:00am(really early for me)and didn't wake up until 9:00 that night .thats happened twice now.

anybody have a similar problem ,if so how have you lived with it?

I physically can't work a consistent regular schedule five days a week at a set time. So I work jobs which require a lot of time but not regularity and I work every day. Not sure if that counts as dealing with it. Doh!

Ooooh man, Yeah been there, I used to just go 2 days with no sleep, then I'd sleepafter the two days, and repeat. But I found a nice, natural sedative called melatonin (same stuff in turkey that makes you sleepy.) they have it in pills. I gotta say, I'm a much happier person. Althoe you don't want to take it every night if you can help it, otherwise you'll find yourself completely unable to sleep withought it. Anyways, it's over the counter, so you can pick it up just about anywhere that has a pharmacy.

I get sleep problems no matter what hour I choose... Even sleeping in earlier doesn't help me. It sucks to be a born Insomniac.

I sleep 3 hours at the most every nite. Get a lot done when the world is sleeping. So my insomnia i use to my best (worst?) advantage. Don't believe in taking anything - man made or natural.

I take Melatonin at night when I really need to sleep, but tend to feel groggy the next day.

I am a natural insomniac also. I tend to sleep from 12am-4am. I try to catch a nap for an hour or two durning the day.

I get really bad insomnia sometimes.

So bad. I take valerian root, smoke pot, drink alcohol, pop pills, drink benadryl, nothing works. I've never tried prescription sleeping pills though.

Halcyon was great back in the day. Damn that woman for offing her kids and blaming it on the little blue pill.

When I can't sleep, nothing works for me. So I just try and relax by reading or watching tv or going online. Insomnia is the worst.
