Advertising
Please select
Advertising from the drop-down in the contact menu for ad queries. If you are interested in advertising,
Blue Blood is represented by different agencies for different properties and types of advertisements. Prospective advertisers
please list what you are interested in advertising. The primary ad spots Blue Blood properties offer are the 728x90
leaderboard banner, the 160x600 tower banner, the 300x250 box, the traditional 468x60 banner, and the 117x30 microbutton.
Smaller ad spots have lower pricing, but generally do not accept rich media and have below-the-fold placement. For larger ad
spots' higher CPMs, advertisers receive premium placements and can utilize the full gamut of rich media advertising creatives
including Flash, Eyeblaster, Unicast, Eyewonder, Atlas, Rovion, Interpolls, and Pointroll-enabled designs. For serious high
roller advertisers, we even offer media sponsorship event partner promotion, photoshoot product placements, video product
placements, countdown clocks, newsletter blasts, and homepage reskins. Please note that product placement is only available
for stuff someone on the creative team here actually likes.
Writers Guidelines
Blue Blood is known for extremely high quality writing and having been a pioneer in personal voice journalism. A small
sampling of the writers Blue Blood has published includes Clint Catalyst, Thomas S. Roche, John Shirley, Shariann Lewitt,
Nancy A. Collins, Poppy Z. Brite, and of course Amelia G and Forrest Black. Blue Blood always has writing opportunities
for experienced writers with excellent skills and lively personal styles. BlueBlood.net specifically publishes entertainment
pieces for an intelligent, sophisticated, mature but not necessarily adult audience. Subject of particular interest include music,
culture, glam, gothic, gothindustrial, horror, science fiction, rpgs, burlesque, performance art, deathrock, psychobilly, punk,
street fashion, fetish fashion, noir, clublife, scene reports, events, conventions, feminism, gender studies, media criticism,
social anthropology, and related pop culture topics. Writers who successfully work with BlueBlood.net may also be invited to
participate in content packaging projects, including a variety of top quality and cutting edge web sites, magazines, and
anthologies. Although it is helpful if prospective writers provide general bio information including information on past
experience and areas of expertise, the best way to get published by Blue Blood is to submit either a completed piece or a
specific pitch for a specific feature you would like to write. News features must include a minimum of one photo or graphic,
although the photo or illustration may be supplied by the subject of the article e.g. a record label providing a promo photo of
a band. It may be possible for Blue Blood to pair writers we have worked with in the past with photographers to cover events
and fashion. Please select

Photographer Guidelines
The BlueBlood.net areas most open to freelance photography submissions are nightlife galleries and fashion editorial. Blue
Blood looks for work which presents the subjects in a flattering light. If you think punks are ugly and your work is about
presenting the horrors of failure to fit in or something, this is not the venue for you. BlueBlood.net is known for providing its
audience with interesting and informative journalism, so all photo galleries must have accompanying articles to explain the
importance and appeal of the photographic subject matter. Photo features must generally have a minimum of 385 words
accompanying text. An example of a good accompanying article would be an interview with a clothing designer to
accompany a photo gallery depicting the designer's fashions. Blue Blood seeks to publish photos which are actually about
something. If all a photo has to say is that it is a photo and someone shot it, then it will not be of interest. A small sampling of
photographers Blue Blood has published includes Chad Michael Ward, Gunter Blum, Carlos Batts, Larry Bradby, Justice
Howard, Lori Mann, Kelly Lind, Ashley Fontenot, Roman Sluka, and of course Amelia G and Forrest Black. It may be
possible for Blue Blood to pair photographers we have worked with in the past with writers to cover events and fashion.
Please note that BlueBlood.net photo galleries may not contain any nudity, not even topless. If you are interested in shooting
erotica / pin-up for sister site
BlueBlood.com, however, you may also use the form
below to inquire with information on your experience and interests. Please select

drop-down in the contact menu for photography submissions and queries.
Modeling
If you are interested in appearing on BlueBlood.net, you can join the forums for free and post photographs you already have
of yourself on the boards for comment and discussion. If you wish to appear in official editorial galleries, you will want to
participate in a shoot which is actually about something i.e. model a clothing line, show up fabulous to a nightclub being
featured, be a musician or performance artist or have something to say in an interview, that sort of thing. If you are interested
in shooting erotica / pin-up for sister site
BlueBlood.com, however, you may also use
the form below to inquire with information on your experience and interests. Please select
Model Queries from the

Jobs
In addition to those who directly produce the great writing and photography on Blue Blood sites, publishing is powered by
quality graphic designers, coders, party promoters, and people who are just plain organized. All full-time positions at Blue
Blood are currently filled, but we frequently work with talented independent people on a contract basis. At the moment, we
are especially interested in top quality Flash designers, with major media experience, for special projects. There is regular
need for programmers for short term projects. Particularly in the summertime, there are often one-off gigs available for
illustrators. If you think something you do might be helpful for Blue Blood, you are always welcome to drop us a line with
your resume, what you are interested in doing, and info on dough you usually receive for doing what you do. Please select
