The Count! Aaaaaaaahhaaahhhaaaahhaahaha!
Bela Lugosi & Christopher Lee
I couldn't agree more but I'd probably switch the order..Originally Posted by suicide doll
Christopher Lee & Bella Lugosi - I love Bella Lugosi's entrance scene when he opens up his cape and says... "I bid you welcome". classic.
There was just something about Christopher Lee's stare that just made a girl wanna drop her panties.. Pure Evil.

So did I, I loved that book. The way she described him, with those green eyes. Damn, that makes me want to stop playing on the computer and read the book all over again.
Does Count Chocula count? I mean he did have his own cereal.
William Marshall as Blacula was pretty cool too.
Doesn't it, though?Originally Posted by CeruleanFire
So much cooler than Anne Rice's vampires.
Even when I was thirteen I thought Anne Rice sucked.
Definitley. who do you think were some of the best female vampires? Im trying to think of who I really found impressive, and I have brain block.Originally Posted by Rozzlyn
Umah from the series: Legacy Of Kain was pretty cool, but she eventually betrayed Kain, so she kind of got what she deserved for taking Kain's Gem and blocking off his way to the Sarafan Lord. She could have had it all if she had just believed in Kain, and hadnt acted like a backstabbing traitor to Kain.Originally Posted by CeruleanFire
I will have to check that out, I am not familiar with that series. thanks

Vorador is another Vampire that Rocks!
I hate Marcus and Sebastian, as well as Faustus though.
Traitors, all of them!
There was this Somja Blue novel by Nancy Collins, A Dozen Black Roses, and there was this villaness-vampire who struck me as really cool -- I was especially impressed at the time cos she had the same haircut I had when I first read it (buzzed on one side, very long on the other). I can't remember her name, but if you haven't read the book, check it out at least just to get a great description of the perfect feral female vampire.Originally Posted by CeruleanFire
I also liked the "mother" in Near Dark. I can't remember the character's or the actress' name, but I loved her whole white-trashy image throughout the whole film.
Star, from Lost Boys probably would have been a kick-ass vampire if she wasn't such a fucking pussy.
I vaguely remember that book you are referring to, but I dont remember if I read it or not, but I thought that it was an interesting cover or hair styleOriginally Posted by Rozzlyn
Thanks, I will definitley check those out. In Lost Boys, never once did Star change into a vampire, no fangs, glowing eyes. What gives with that?Originally Posted by Rozzlyn
I haven't seen Van Helsing yet, but in the previews Dracula looked pretty hot. I'm only judging on physical appearance at this time.
The vampire from A Dozen Black Roses was named Decima, She did rock, but I like Sonja Blue better. I plan on getting the cover of that book tatooed on my leg soon...(The one with Sonja licking the bloody straight razor)Originally Posted by Rozzlyn
Easy...Bill Paxton in "NEAR DARK" or the old stand by...Nosferatu.
Bela Lugosi, Keifer Sutherland (in the movie Lost Boys)
Oh yeah...Count Ducula. He was awesome.
The problem with Count Dracula, is the fact that SO many people have portrayed him, and done an excellent job. I have a difficult time deciding which one I like best. Lugosi, Lee, Oldman, Schreck, not to mention numerous others, in whatever form, or name of the movie. I am a vampire MovieAholic, and I cant decide which one. Each actor brings something new to the character.Originally Posted by Tequila Zaire

What you say is true...however I meant Count Ducula. He's a Duck that's a vampire but during his "birth" they screwed up the process and used tomato juice instead of blood. As such he's addicted to tomato juice. He seems to be unaware this is not the normal way of things...he does live in one bad ass house though and has a cool butler. He's always hunted by a bad luck plauged vampire hunter.Originally Posted by CeruleanFire
I haven't seen it in YEARS though...so I've forgotten a lot of stuff. It was a British cartoon if I remember right.
lol - star never turned into a vampire as she 'never fed' urcgk
I believe my favorite would have to be Victor Renquist from the Mick Farren novels. ("The Time of Feasting" is the best) but I do agree with several of the other choices.
I've only watched a few vampire films, 1 which was Blade 1&2 and the other was Dusk till Dawn which I liked.
Daffy Duck was pretty good too, in one of those cartoons, doing his Count Dracula routine. I always did have a soft spot for the toons being spooky monsters.Originally Posted by Tequila Zaire
Oh yeh I've also watched Buffy the vampire slayer and Angel, but Blade and Dusk till Dawn is more better then Buffy and Angel
xxxxxxi personally think that stuart townsend made a very sex vampire....^.^ i mean...dude...he looked great as one.....he had that really sexy mysterious look to him and eveything...i mean i love him in that movie....but i also dislike some of the things by anne rice....but i mean...at least her books have a plot instead of just some vampire galavanting around and feeding for no damn reason...and i also like bram stokers dracula......which happened to be one of the best movies with vampires i have ever seen
